The Guitar Player Thread.

I don't always play acoustic guitar. Quick pentatonic strat solo, warming up at practice tonight.

Damn auto correct always wants to change 'Strat' to 'start'.

Im digging this man! you guys sounded great. you recorded this on your phone i presumed.

Here's a pretty easy one for the folks starting out to try. The chords behind the first verse in Pull me Under.

And the intro to Metropolis. Again, easy stuff to get going.

I have the sheet music for this album so I could post the pages if anyone's interested.

Hey Sandy great video. Jim posted his earlier but I haven't seen yours - what setup are you using for your videos (amp, etc)?

I have 2 kind of amps. 1 is line 6 flextone 2 which is a solid state amp. 2nd is a fender deluxe tube amp. I also use line 6 gearbox on my laptop with the line 6 KB37 when im doing some recording. For stomp boxes, i use all Boss pedals. Guitars, 1 standard strat 1 60th anniversary diamond series fender strat. 1 prestige ibanez S series(i forgot what kind) 1 ibanez rg550 that I customized. Larrivee acoustic and mitchel classical guitar

It depends on my mood actually. The rosewood on the warmth side and the maple on the brighter side. The rosewood I guess 🙂

Ha, yeah. I feel exactly the same.

Used to have this maple Strat. Definitely a bit on the bright side. Almost too bright for the music we were playing.

Bought this American HSS Strat 10 years ago with rosewood. Has been my main electric guitar for most of that time. Definitely warmer tone. I noticed the difference right away. The Humbucker helps. 28616_1479278658912_2429770_n.jpg

Also from an aesthetic standpoint, I prefer the look of the darker neck and the visual separation it creates with the headstock. To me, a guitar has to look good so thats important. 🙂

I still want more guitars. I dont have a 7 string yet. and I want some of the gibson les paul and a ES335 as well. ;-).
