The Good Deals Thread

Haven't used those so I can't really compare. The bite point is right between sram and Shimano, leaning more snappy than spongey. Power is slightly below codes.
Yeah, my comment was more towards the group. Figured most haven't used Formula, but they can on my bike ...

I had the trp slate T4 on a trail bike for a few years and they were pretty good. I just replaced them with Hayes Dominions which blow them away. Yes, the Hayes Dominion A4 are currently on sale for a lot more than $50 per side, ($125 a side from N+1 bikes), but they are so much better. True one finger brakes and I weigh 215 geared up. The Slate I had to grab a real handful of to stop.

Formula cura on sale from Jenson too for $125, but only one left in stock.

XTR m9100 (the XC version) are also blown out on Merlin Cycles for $270 (front and back!) (less than $300 shipped). While you are there pick up another set of XTR pedals for $125.

Ugh. I didn't want to buy a new bike but that's hard to pass up.

For those still riding 27.5, specialized purgatory in the 2.6” width is on sale for $23 online….

Tire deal

I found one locally at one of the Hilltop shops, and it was actually a couple bucks cheaper.

Mind you, Ive never run this tire so no idea how it performs. But its round and mounted up tubeless easy so thats a start for $20 🤣

that is a great deal - if I didnt have a mini stockpile of 27.5 Maxxis tires already Id grab 2 of them. But for how infrequently I ride my MTB I probably dont need these now. 😛

Yeah. They started putting these on sale shortly after they sold them to the shops for $30.

It was the rear of the Ragley I slapped it on. I tried a 3.0" tire I had on hand first, and it technically cleared, but not by enough to feel comfortable running it. I like running the Ragley with a 2.6 rear and a big 2.8 up front.

oh man, i really don't need more backup tires but that price is insane. Maybe i'll just pop into my local HB and let fate decide if i need it without a shipping fee.

Fate decided I needed one. $19.97 plus tax. There's 1 more at HB Madison if anyone is looking. Coincidentally, mine will also be going on my Ragley. I think as a front tire though.
