Orange? I don't have any! Where do I buy it? Any other colors I should know about? Man, I was just about done with the El Mariachis colors and now PEX tubing?!?!?!

Radiant heat tubing is orange. pex-al-pex.
There is also white, which is used when they don't want to keep track of hot and cold.

I kept askin myself WEN are you going to get a new jigsaw to replace that POS B&D crap?

Well that day is today, tomorrow we cutting a new backboard for my boys’ hoop.

Game on.

Mission (mostly) accomplished. Kids ran the jigsaw, files, and drill; I demonstrated the circular saw operations for them. Was gonna fire up the router, but had the kids learn what true filing is all about, just as I did way back when, grasshoppers. Attention spans of 10yr olds are still as expected, so Daddy finished up.

Putting the heat on in the garage was key. At the end they were playing in the sawdust like champs. Mommy was so pleased.

Slow progress today, because I was thinking about steak and wine.

I know I know….
You’re supposed to start at one end and work your way down, however, with only three pieces, the bench needs to be centered on the window, and then I’ll rip filler strips on the outer ends to fill in to the walls.

That was surprisingly painless. Took my time and made sure to deburr the copper really good. Measured twice, cut once, turned the hot water on and no leaks. Total cost was about $85. And that includes extra PEX and tools.

Here’s my DIY project. I picked up a boat in October and it has a softish transom. I knew it would need replacing at some point so why not do it right away so I don’t have to worry down the road. It also had a few soft spots on the flooring so I figured what the hell. Gut the thing and do the floors too. So here we are in January. It looks like hell but progress is being made. I pulled the motor and got the old transom out - which was definitely shot. I made the new one, and now I’m waiting for some better weather to put it back in. Once that is good I will put the motor back on and start working on the floor boards. I’ve got everything ready to go. I just need time and some warmth to get the rest going. Thanks! I was thinking about how I could do it without and I said what the hell. I’ll just make the frame for the hoist and yank it out of there. I was waiting for the cops to show up since it looked like I had gallows with a rope hanging off it in my driveway.

I lucked out and could secure it to the rafters in my garage. I bought it to pull the 75 hp outboard off and onto a stand. taking the transom out with it wasn't even a thought at first but I would have never gotten it out without it. That thing was wedged in there crazy tight. Hopefully a job i will never need to do again i put 3 coats of epoxy on the new one i built before i put it back in. 20180222_150951.jpg

Same thought here. I've got 4 coats of epoxy on this one and hoping it will last until my family is bored with it and I sell it.7F762EB5-10C2-400F-8320-6DC7B2DA80BF.jpeg
