I would not be surprised if I'm counted among those missing 2nd shots. Like Rick, I "moved" my 2nd CVS shot to be closer to home. They have no unique identifier for me to correlate the 2nd shot with the first. After securing the 2nd, I cancelled the initial 2nd.

Would be nice for any sort of "X time after your first or second shot, please start living your life".well, i guess 1 shot is better than no shot. I've read that the first shot of Pfizer and Moderna are up to 85% effective. I just can't believe they are not saying that when you get the vaccine then you can go back to normal, no mask. Makes no sense to me. You would have a lot more people getting the vaccine if it meant we could ditch the masks and go back to normal. This approach of looking into the camera and shouting, "GET THE SHOT!!" is not working.
People are idiots. What can you do?
I thought it was 14 days after J&J or second Moderna of Pfizer was when you were considered "fully vaccinated"Would be nice for any sort of "X time after your first or second shot, please start living your life".
We were supposed to have book club on Sunday. Everyone is pretty much vaccinated as far as I know going. The person hosting, their wife cancelled because it was 1 week from her 2nd shot.
Whatever, I'm OK with it, but when does she, or should anyone else feel safe?
I deal with a few people at work who are fully vaccinated for awhile, including everyone in their family and they're still behaving like it's the end of the world.
yea, but you still have to wear a mask and live exactly like you did before you had the first shot. We know the vaccine works and it is available to anyone who wants it so why not let people get back to normal?I thought it was 14 days after J&J or second Moderna of Pfizer was when you were considered "fully vaccinated"

so yeah, "about" 2 weeks on average across the board... either way... I'm all set, ready to get back to more normal, except for NJTranShit and NYC Subway. Fuck the commute, I'll still use any excuse possible to not have to deal with that bullshit.... WFHLyfeVaccine Efficacy Rates

so since we are all a bunch of liars, saying if vaccinated, ok to remove mask.
do you think anyone will wear a mask? we are at 4ish out of 10? so at least half should be wearing?
Who cares if people lie? As long as anyone that wants a vaccine can get one, there is no need for masks or social distancing anymore. They should just announce that in six weeks, all mask restrictions will be lifted. This gives everyone enough time to get fully vaccinated if they want to. We should be past the point where hospitals will be overwhelmed by then, which was the whole point of masks and social distancing. If someone doesn't want to get vaccinated then fuck 'em, let them risk getting covid.

I'm worn out - so i don't really care what people do anymore. Except whine. I can't stand whining.
Good News
Per WSJ this morning: "By Tuesday, 37.3% of US adults were fully vaccinated." They go on to link this to a decline in the reported new cases of C19 and analyze the impact of the vax in Israel.

Nope. Name and address. I guess that's close but not quite the cigar. Maybe a more accurate statement is that they don't try to correlate the multiple appointments or the web site would have popped up a warning that I already had a 2nd appointment scheduled.Driver's license number?

Israel is over 60% fully vaccinated. Multiple sources, including CDC, say we are at 30%.
