That’s definitely going to happen. Just like “supply chain issues” with Covid. People will get used to the price and move on.I’m afraid that once the tariff gets absorbed into the price of the item, as opposed to a surcharge, there will be no going back.

It will likely depend on the item in question and other market competition factors.If we get a new president in three years after tariffs have caused everyone to raise prices, and the new president removed them, will companies then lower their prices back down to pre-tariff pricing?
I’m afraid that once the tariff gets absorbed into the price of the item, as opposed to a surcharge, there will be no going back.
