Tariffs...what to make of them.

China is a dead man walking, they will invade Taiwan in a couple years because they have to but in 15 years 70% of the population will be over 50 years old. Between the “one child per couple “ law they had for 20 years and the rapid urbanization, they are flat out going to age out a huge part of the population. It was a real revelation when I learned about the demographics of urbanization. The theory goes like this, when people are on a farm, kids are free labor so have a bunch of them. When people move into cities, a bunch of kids are just added expense so don’t have any. This has resulted in the Chinese not having kids for decades. The government is very corrupt, the local leaders get government money based on population so they have been falsely reporting child births for decades. China being who they are refuse to admit it….. there are a bunch articles on what’s happening there but you won’t see this on main stream media.

Let's not not be nieve what this is actually about... Bibi has wanted regime change in Iran forever... They have no ability to do it themselves and will need us to make it happen.... So now after this bombing... If Israel is lucky, the Iranian response will be bad enough to get us fully involved in this war.

Iran making our gas prices $4.00 a gallon would be something they would love to do... Additionally, if they do actually try to close the stright, they know we will intervene... Which will put our ships in much easier attack range.

See operation preying mantis.... Which while yes, we did indeed kick the living shit out of the Iranian navy... We also had one of our ships mined and managed to blow up an Iranian airliner... Which is now what this operation is most famous for sadly.
 
If Iran really wanted to hurt trump they should dump agent orange on all his golf courses. It would leave him with nothing to do 4 days a week and remove his ability to charge taxpayers to rent his golf carts to drive around his secret service agents that are tasked with protecting him…..🙄

Doesn’t Iran need to use this Strait themselves to sell their own oil? (Mostly to China).
It just seems unlikely that they will actually do it.

hard to say what they will do. like for example....

If we are to take Bibi's word....Iran was close to having nukes and the whole word would soon be in danger....bc they WOULD use them. Now if you believe that...well then you have to believe that they would KNOW what the response would be...They would be vaporized and they regime totally destroyed. So they would be willing sacrifice themselves to nuke israel, whomever....This is what Bibi wants us to believe. Fine, ok...so then if that is who we are dealing with, we should probably assume they will absolutely do something in response to being attacked. Yes, it would hurt oil sales...but they also know that the US navy will intervene and reopen the straight....and that is how these countries can beat us...They have absolutely ZERO chance at taking on our military, none whatsoever....but they dont have to...they just have to take on our political system. Get us involved, get americans killed in someway, get us bogged down somehow, cause gas prices to spike...get americans pissed off at their leadership.....

But really, I have zero clue what might actually happen...I would think that the Ayatollah wants to do a whole lot of nothing and preserve his power and his dictatorship.....however, his people are absolutely furious now, so that might not be possible.

I’m sorry, can someone please give me an example of a time where dropping bombs from there air resulted in regime change. Aside from nuking the Japanese, when has dropping bombs on people done anything more than bringing the bombed people together? UK,Germany, Japan Korea, Vietnam and pretty much the whole of the Middle East, bomb people and they unite to fight the bomber.
 
Looks like the ceasefire is going well

Trump made the comments while departing from the White House for a NATO summit Tuesday morning. Both Israel and Iran fired missiles at one another following the imposition of a ceasefire on Monday night.

"I'm not happy with Israel. You know, when I say, okay, now you have 12 hours, you don't go out in the first hour and just drop everything you have on them. So I'm not happy with them. I'm not happy with Iran either, but I'm really unhappy if Israel is going out this morning," Trump said.


He continued, "We basically have two countries that have been fighting for so long and so hard that they don't know what the **** they're doing."

"I’m gonna see if I can stop it," he added.

I will actually give Trump credit for at least saying he's not happy with Israel....although he TOTALLY enabled this whole situation....bibi does whatever the fuck he wants and we just say, yes sir and hop to....How many planes and bombs do you want today Bibi? The american tax payer will send them right over!
 
Anybody have insight on the popularity of an Israeli leader as a function of how aggressively they defend .....

Bibi is not interested in stopping his war. If he does he will have to face criminal cases against him.

I listened to a podcast with Scott Galloway and an Israeli journalist discussing this while I was mowing yesterday, let me see if I can find it...
