.....should not drive!
Yeah so today I was involved in an "accident" with my children in the car. we are all ok, other than some bruises and my wrist is a little funky.
Some woman pulled right across my path while LOOKING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!!!!! Who the heck does that?! It was a 35mph T-bone. I just dumped about $450 into gettin it spruced up for inspection 😡

My car.....

Insurance says since the airbag deployed they will total it. Whoopeeee!

Stupid drivers! :getsome:

boy that is a real bummer so glad everyone is OK sean. now my thinking is take the money and build a blingy bike and buy a beater non blingy car. You can see where my priorities are...

I drove up to Mt creek yesterday from Princeton.

I have a Subaru outback with snow tires.

My definition of winter driving is very different than many folks I saw.

My favorite is the soccer mom who clears a 1 foot peep hole in the windshield.

Glad to see you're ok. It's amazing how absent minded people can be. I was in the same situation last year except I T-boned the car on my bicycle...ouch.

Thanks guys

Ha! you got your priorities straight sir! I got a somewhat blingy bike that will be in the woods in 2-3 weeks! Fortunately my insurance will pay off what I owe, unfortunately, after that I'm SOL. I'm flyin by the seat of my pants as it is, this just poured gas all over the whole mess and lit it up!
Keeps you on your toes though.... never a dull moment 😀

Prepare to get bombarded by attorney solitcitations as soon as the police report becomes available.

Oh, I'm sure.... contacting one tomorrow. not eat this one. no sir!

If going after value of car, do it on your own. If for medical, wait it out a while. I have said it here before. It is best to avoid lawyers unless injuries are truly substantial.

Glad you and the kids are ok.

It amazes me how people think that they can drive on snowy roads as fast as they do on dry roads. Then there's the a-holes who still have 2 feet of snow on their roofs still driving around. You can buy a nice extendable snow brush at pep boys for like 10 bucks!!! :getsome:

I do lots of driving and it never ceases to amaze me how stupid people can be behind the wheel. Every day, several times a day. There must be TONS of morons out there that just don't give a crap for fellow humans!
Ugh.... It's just sad to know that.

First and foremost, I'm happy to hear everyone is ok!!!!

Don't forget my friend, my bitchin' merlot Taurus is yours if you need it.

Well you are posting up so your still with us... That is a plus... One of my managers drives a Ford Expedition and I brought to his attention my pet peeve of not clearing the roof of its build up... He then proceeded to clear it (good employee🙂)... Ironically I was behind a minivan today and got a windshield full of roof slush😡... It was justified for making my manager clean his when he didn't want to

i make damn sure to clean all the snow off my roof, did not do that once bc i was in a hurry, had to stop rather quickly for some idiot running a red light and it came flying off the roof over the windshield and hit the hood(scary when you cant see shit bc of it), ill NEVER skip out on that step again, and considering how little time it takes there is no reason not to.

I am glad you and your children are okay. Lots of stupid ppl today. 3 cars on one road moved to the side for a cop to pass through and they all drove themselves right into a snow covered ditch they couldn't get out There was no reason for that. The cops don't give a shit what happens to their car, why drive yourself into a ditch for them. And a 1990 Accord passed me on packed snow going 60mph while I was on the blacktop side.

Glad to hear you are okay? No chance of just fixing the car up. Sometime insurance gives you the chance to get a lump sum of money to repair the car or total it. I have seen people typically keep the car and have it repaired by a small repair shop that will do it for less than what the insurance company quotes. Airbags tend to be the $$$ in the repair bill though. If you are mechanically inclined you might be able to do some of the repairs yourself to save $$$.
