Strictly METAL

Anyone check out the new Voivod album?
It's on Spotify.
I'm giving it my first listen, and it's friggin' awesome!
Been meaning to check this out. This is a hugely important band, it makes me happy that they're still pushing it. Blacky is back on bass, too, which I think is gonna make a big difference.

Playlist as of late:

*Voivod Dimension Hatross & Nothingface
*Clutch Earth Rocker
*Pallbearer Sorrow and Extinction
*Minor Threat Complete Discography
*Haarp Husks

I was working out of my car today, I listened to the entire D.R.I. "Crossover" cd like 3 times. Good times.

*Minor Threat Complete Discography

I didn't know you listened to punk.
I used to listen to a lot of punk myself.
Especially when I lived in SoCal. It was pretty much the scene going on at the time. There was absolutely no metal going on. I went to TONS of punk shows.

Minor Threat was one of my favorite punk bands. The complete discography is awesome.
I'm a big Fugazi fan too.

any of you listen to this Hellyeah stuff? It sounds like a bad Pantera cover band.

Hellyeah is redneck trucker metal. That song yuou heard is a shit example of them. That entire new album is shit actually.

But pull up "You wouldnt know". It wontl blow you away, but they are much much better than what you heard. They arent a great band, but a cool compliment to MudVayne (the lead singers other band).

This and 7 Seconds The Crew have been getting a lot of play time....

Old punk is great for intervals. Especially with the 30 second songs.

I really wish I had the extra cash to buy some sort of record playing set up. I have a ton of old 7 inch vinyl, including 7 Seconds and Minor Threats "salad Days". I get the itch every time I go to Vintage Vinyl and start thumbing through all the records.

Does the rest of the stuff sound like Pantera? As odd as it sounds, I actually dislike Pantera, never liked them at all. Vinnie Pauls influence on the song I heard was huge so that may have skewed my initial impression.

My wife wants to go, were you able to get actual seats or just lawn tickets? I wonder if its sold out yet :hmmm:

I could only get lawn.
All the seats are sold out.
Lawn is still available though.
How much longer they'll be available is an unknown.
This show will sell out for sure. It's just a matter of when.
