My son got me Flight 666 for Father's day..................Oh My..........I wouldn't have believed how well this was done, had I not seen it myself. I've listened to Maiden since the Maiden Japan EP.
I took Jr to a Maiden concert which was a highlight of my child rearing career. Rush was his first show, for his 17th B-day............near tears when Rush came on, near tears now
He's gonna be 21 next Sunday.............Goddamn how the time flies.............
Awesome stuff, Larry.

I was pretty choked up myself several times as I watched the Maiden movie. Over 25 years of sticking with a band will do that to you.

goddamn right chris!!! my sister got me into maiden when i was supppper young so ive been technically listening to them for well over 20 years myself. everytime ive seen them i have shed tears. when we seen them on the somewhere back in time tour my sister and i definetly cried it out during wasted years. we are both getting lyrics from that song tattooed on us. to go along with my other maiden tattoo😀

Yesterday I went to Vintage Vinyl and did some shopping. For the first time since I was a freshmen in high school I bought a Megadeth cd. Not the new one, not any of the recent ones, but the one that came out in 1990, Rust in Peace. For some reason a lot of the old songs have been going through my head so I figured I'd pick it up again. Out of the 3 Cd's I bought, this was the first one I put in when I got back in the car. Brought back a lot of good memories.

I took a stab at one of the bands mentioned in this thread also. I have been stalking their myspace page and found some music on youtube and figured I'd give them a shot. I bought Church of Misery's Houses of the Unholy. Mother of god these guys are good. I would say its like a somewhat modern twist of Ozzy era Black Sabbath, but with a lot of groove. I listened to the entire disc 3 times yesterday.

I also picked up the new one from one of my favorites, Dying Fetus. These guys are straight up awesome. Every cd these guys put out is just incredible. This one is short, 8 songs and probably just about a half hour of music, but it gets the job done.
