Saw these 3 this morning. The trunks were easily in the 14"to 16" range.

I was able to get the one at Vistar and the two large ones on Trestle before heat exhaustion started to take hold. I had to stand down on the other obstructions today. The large one on Trestle came down on the bridges. There's now maybe 6 deck boards that have been broken or knocked off of the span that actually crosses the water. That was a very large and messy blowdown. I don't think I'll win any awards with my cleanup of that one, but it is passable.

Thanks to @Fire Lord Jim for the backpack, I now have a way to trim the further reaches of the park!

I took advantage of today's "cold snap" and got to the rest of the known targets in Stephens, denoted by the red waypoints on the attached map. Once again, all caught up in Stephens.

Came face to face with a black bear today on “the golden trail”. Was moving pretty good and stopped maybe 20 feet from it. It started to climb a tree but when I raised my bike and yelled it came down and just looked at me. For a second I thought it was gonna charge me but it turned and ran into the woods. Beautiful and very healthy. Of course I forgot my chest cam today. What an idiot I am.
