Sourlands Mountain Preserve Conditions

Yea. I saw a muddy trail and went the other way. Ive heard people say to avoid the lower section so thats what we tried to do.

Did u pass any bikers? I think we got there about 3ish. I cant believe the amount of foot traffic at this place.

Yeah I passed a few pairs of bikers - I started running at 3:20. And the foot traffic was ridiculous - I don't think I've ever seen the parking lot that full.

PS it gets better in the summer when it gets really hot. Hikers stay away!

Hiked here with my wife today at around 11am - 1pm or so. There was quite a bit of mud on the lower trails, otherwise conditions seemed great.

Place was packed!!!

Good ride. Was trying to dial in my bike. new bikes are weird. Met G and ran into british mike. Started closer to 6 but got in a full loop.

I'm planning to get out for a ride tomorrow morning ... looking to leave E Mountain lot btwn 8 & 9. Let me know if anyone's interested.

I couldnt find the ride SL tomorrow thread, please find for me

Oh conditions are stellar of course. I would ride again but doing a proper mtb ride with the mrs at six miles

The conditions at Sourland are good. There are a few very minor wet spots, but no real mud. The maintenance crew has done a great job as the trails are all nicely groomed/free of fallen debris, and the new crushed rock on the section that crosses the pipeline is a welcome addition. You should have a great ride.

Oh, ya, the rocks and boulders are still there...🙂

Excellent conditions - just a few spots of thick mud. Lots of hikers (and dogs off leash..🙁)
