Sleep?!?! How do you do it?

You used an analogy of the legal BAC limit, which is what is used to define what driving impaired is. The law is that you can't drive if you're over the legal limit. The rules for DoD are "You cannot use", not "You can use below the limit that we test for". Urine testing is just one of the ways that this is policed. We understand the science around test limits, but you don't seem to understand that there's more to the conditions for employment than just this testing limit.

I take a timed release Melotonin to keep me asleep. But to quiet the thoughts in my head to get to sleep I take a low dose Zanax (doc prescribed). It may sound weird, but I’ve had luck with a weighted blanket. And don’t forget a white noise generator or app for your phone, that also helps.

Ps.. I wouldn’t rely on the Garmin data, I used my watch for quite a bit and found that there were too many times it said I was asleep and I wasn’t…..and vice versa.
As much as I loved my white noise generator my wife hated it. We have a smart tv in the bedroom and she found some youtube channels that go on for 6+ hrs with the typical snowstorm, campfire, rain, beach type noises. I don't know how it works but the screen will go dark as well. Good shit!

If I don’t have a fan or white noise going I actually freak out. It can be -9 degree outside and I’m blasting my fan at night for the sound. Lots of Spotify channels out there now with 12hr white noise/green noise/brown noise whatever spectrum works for you. I discovered this when I was traveling for work nonstop and it was game changer.
