SCCX Races

The course is done and fun. Has a little more elevation that some of the others but a blast to ride. I think we have a little for everyone....

Hahaha - mourning...

In for #2:

Going for 2 pies in 2 weeks! Everyone should try and check out this race. The course is fun times, really well done. For all you who missed it yesterday, step up and give it a shot this coming Saturday. Do your carb (& turkey) loading on Thanksgiving, then show up Saturday ready to rip it up.

This was one of my favorite courses of the year, despite the running this course demanded of you. Good stuff, and a very well run event.

And for those doing both of the SCCX races, the course will have some small changes in place but for the most part the same. I really enjoyed the course and agree that 3 times up that hill was brutal but good.

Everyone should sign up and especially sign up for the A race. We need more people there. Remember the A race is 1/2/3.

I hope it pours buckets for next weekend 😀

Yeah this was probably my favorite course so far, it felt like it had great flow without a lot of stupid senseless tight little turns that just kill your momentum. I could see how the mudhole thing and the 3 uphill barriers would be irritating to some but I would gladly take that with the rest of the course being so good. I am just thankful we didn't have to run across the water after that other little run up.

Yeah, the creek crossing was really the only part I wasn't very fond of, but the rest of the course was more than enough fun to make up for that. At least what I saw of it through my NyQuil daze😀

Another vote for the gratuitous stream crossing being somewhat silly, even though it didn't bother me that much. I did end up in the tape on one lap, but we all had to deal with it, so whatever. A little birdie says that will be taken out for next week?

The triple run-up wasn't easy but at least you could dismount with momentum. If the run-up had been 4 feet after the stream crossing, I would have flung mud at y'all. 🙂

that was a good time! wish i could do next week but we're going to see santa with the kids.

next stop for me is the vreeland scramble.

That was fun! I guess the creek crossing was gratuitous, but really wasn't the whole thing? I was happy to get muddy. See y'all on Saturday!

Some footage (and commentary) of the C race yesterday:
http://contour.com/stories/sussex-1-2010

It's not all professional like Adam's is. Just my continued effort to get comfortable pumping out vaguely entertaining videos on the laptop for when we go around the world. Sean, Utah, JDog, Joe Mundi, Little Dr. Rob, Dan Suhr, Chris26er, Ted, Jake and Joe K make appearances. Maybe others.

Not a fan of the mud pit as the water was about 38 degrees. Perhaps thrown in to try to make up for the dry, lack of mud season. Being from Allaire I missed the sand though. hah. Otherwise, loved the course. 2nd to Pburg to me.

My favorite part was the leaf burm before the long barrier runup 😀

Just think if we left the leaf berm on the downhill! :hitsfan:

I personally like the run up, and paid for it with a minor finger injury when I whacked some short guy's rear wheel on the first lap running past him.
