now that she’s older (2 years in May ) fireworks seem to really cause anxiety I will have to spend some weeks doing some desensitizing training maybe next year she won’t be so bad.

Just adopted a new pup last night. 7/8 month old Lab/Bloodhound mix from KY. Searching for a name. View attachment 135147

Thanks. We love the rescue route.
Our last dog, Camper, passed a year ago. Took a while to be ready for a new pup. Anyway, our new pup is a female.

Before we got Shelby 2 summers ago , it was 5 years since we had to put our other dog Delilah down after 17 years old. And my wife still had to convince me for many weeks I get it !

names how about

Kaylee (KY is in there)
Sandy (Easy one maybe overused )
Blondie
Sugar

oh and Shelby says congrats she’s now asleep across my chest. All 60 lbs of her.

Nice. Thanks. Sorry to hear about Delilah. Losing a dog is hard. I spent tons of time with my last dog, Camper. WFH, hiking, camping, backpacking, road trips, etc. It has only been one day but I am still not bonded with this new pup. I still wish my last dog was here. Could not stop thinking about my last pooch during our hike today (needed a rest day off the bike). Appreciate the name suggestions.

My buddy Bear passed earlier this year from cancer. He was found eleven years ago as a skin ‘n bones puppy wandering the streets of SE Philly. Most enthusiastic dog ever. I still have two dogs, Yaush and Jezebel, running around the house, but miss that Shiba energy that Bear provided.
