never thought allaire would be empty on a Saturday afternoon when it’s this nice out.
That is as typical as say a full lot on a Winter Saturday morning
Speaking of winter, what do you all do when it gets cold out?🙄
Tour of the GnarMooch
This place is awesome. I got some great footage that I will have to crop together. Tried to run the 20t here but I guess the chain was so crossed I had to run the 19t. 19 equaled pained for sure. It was still a blast. I'm enjoying not going fast and trying to clean these crazy obstacles. Bob W has a crazy mind to see that a bicycle and go through this stuff.
Headaches again
Had the headache issue again after the mooch ride. It wasn't a race pace environment but I was pushing myself up these climbs as hard as I could. I can link this to high output efforts.
Had a nice big carb dinner the night before. I had a decent dunkin donuts breakfast with a gatorade before our ride.
I drank nearly 2 liters of water, 2 Gu's, 1 powerbar and a 20oz of gatorade during the ride.
I came home and ate a big linner (or dunch) and took two excedrin and was fine in about 2 hours. Not sure what it is and its driving me nuts. I can't even close my eyes when I want to just relax and take a nap. Going to try and eat even better before higher output rides, but it is kind of getting on my nerves that I cant pin this down.

look what we have here…..
I might have had a couple of bites of a clif bar and half a bottle of gatorade. I was more focused on being composed and funny while everyone was packing up. I had a whole bunch of crap to munch on afterwards.Do you eat anything immediately after these hard efforts?
You did well yesterday...I think I only had to tell you to get the hell out of the way once 😀 You hung on pretty well up that last big climb with me and paul. Good times!
So thats about 80-90 ozs of water. So in 4hours, that can still fall short. I was fine with my 70oz camelback and gave the dogs some of that. But im pretty used to being on the bike for 4+ hours at this point, and my blubber layer carries and extra 11 gallons of water, like a camel! While we didnt ride for 4 hours, I think its still important to count that sitting around time since you are still sweating like a mofo in that jungle. You could have easily been dehydrated.
with humidity we had there is never enough water intake, both patty and i ended up with dehydration headaches too. james you handled yourself very well and do come for a much larger view of the park, maybe a triple?
