OOS MOGA

Not sure that’s happening flight was cancelled and been waiting 3.5 hours for a call back from shitty delta
Stupid planes. My son and I were in a pool when the thunder started. Was fun to watch all the other parents freak out and mass panic start. Though I was 'bout to push this grown up and his kid up the damn ladder. Slomofos.

I found the Max and Rick MTBNJ relationship in a meme.

Let's be honest folks. I doubt the police are wasting man power monitoring MTBNJ, or any other website , looking for rogue MTB'ers at Mills, or any other place. If they see you, they may give you a hard time, but Ponch and Jon arnt going to be chasing you through the freaking woods CHiPs style. That being said, its obviously ride at your own risk, which those who are ridding there are well aware.

This ...

I’ve never seen a cop except one @ Allaire ...

My bro in law is a cop - I can assure this state has bigger problems than grown men riding their Mongoose’s in the woods ...

If they ever did ask you - just say oh I didn’t know ... done - that usually works .
I don't mean to bring discourse but I do want to mention one thing about riding illegal trails. I am not singling out what was previously mentioned here but speaking in general.

There are lots of ppl working hard to bring legal access for mountain bikers. For example, when Watchung legal access was denied, it was rather heart breaking. There were many on this board who attended meetings and fought hard for access. My personal opinion is that whether you get caught or not is not the issue. Like it or not, we are viewed as 1 group. Your actions may potentially affect the way we are viewed as a group entirely and it is my opinion that it can have an adverse effect on efforts made by others.

Just my 2 cents and take it for whatever its worth.
Also, there are tons of awesome trails that you can ride legally. Is it really worth it to you that in the off chance you do get caught and can be fined up to $500?

The point I am trying to make is I am not sure that where we are riding is illegal. They had a kids race in the same area last weekend, most of the riders and people who work on the trails wear the shops kit.

Again, I was not singling out M***s but was speaking in general
But since you mentioned it, I am pretty sure, there are LBS who does not necessarily do the "right" things. I am not passing judgement on this particular one. Just saying...
Also, you mentioned most parts of the trail was not park land and didn't know who has ownership. So potentially, its trespassing? Is that any better?
IDK since I don't know the details here.... just playing devils advocate.

A good part of it(see our Strava) was a gravel rail trail. Saw plenty of folks riding hybrids and cross bikes on it. Doubt it’s illegal. Can’t believe you guys are still talking about this. I agree advocacy and trail maintenance are important. Can we all move on already.
In both my statements I said I was speaking in general. And my first post regarding this topic was in response to Mike and Arnold about the consequences. 2nd was responding to Matt.

My understanding is that mountain biking in all Essex County parks is illegal because of one angry hiker. I think everyone knows that people ride in these parks, and so I assume most people don't care or something would be done about it. I also regularly ride trails I'm not supposed to, and I'm just friendly and courteous all other trail users. I get the viewpoint of people that say we should only ride legal trails, but I'm selfish and want to ride all of the trails.

Third is you ride at High Mt. on the single track all the time and technically thats fight club also. Only the fireroads are legit trails. So it's all hogwash, just ride the damn bike and have fun!!!! I'm out!
