OOS MOGA

Went for a very brief ride up at Camp Orange in Middletown NY and it looks like it could have potential but also hear what they say about having someone show you around. It’s about 15 minutes from my Mum so hoping to get some exploring in up there I will post up an open mind invite for anyone to join. I am also hoping to get to Blue Mountain but that is a much further ride

@qclabrat there is day of reg tomorrow, just in case you need a warm-down ride.

Worthy to write home about? Not sure why I've never been there yet, but probably because Stewart is just as far for me and much more popular. I'd be in for Blue since I don't get up there nearly enough, but need to follow old route since I don't know it at all.

I did not get to explore much but most of what I rode wasn’t a marked or mapped trail and there were some nice sections. It only took me 25 min from the time I left the lot so not too far and you can get some major miles in. The primary loop around the park is 15 but there is a lot unmapped within. Next time I go I will try to get a guide and will let you know we can try it out, but it will be at a slow pace just warning you lol

Not sure if The Bicycle Doctor in Middletown or Joes Fix it out of Goshen does any group rides at Camp Orange. Have not been there since Magic was probably a toddler so I am no longer familiar with the trails. I would like to get back up there sometime. Stewart and Camp Orange are about 20 minutes drive time apart but Stewart has more variety.

I’ve got a case of @BPaze-itis, the brand new rear brake hose is too short and couldn't source it locally (I wouldn’t think that keeping a couple spares would kill the store too much) so the Fug will have to wait to make her social debut.

Been here before, there seems to be no standard for hydro lines mainly because of the connectors at the end, even between different models from the same company. So $$ for shops to guess what ones will sell.
