You got out there so if you had a good time that is a winDidn’t do so great. Kinda got stuck behind someone and didn’t feel too great.
I definitely need more riding time.
Good race @Victor I

Redskins are laughing it up and picking Haskins, complete fake out, Duke QBs can't throw down field, poor Barkley
Doesn't matter who else they pick for remainder...
Luckily the rain held off for us.
Nice job Matt lining up, did you call out a pass? I don't know race etiquette but sounds like he should have let you passLuckily the rain held off for us.
I started out poorly and got anxious fro some reason and it hurt me. I got behind some one who was better on endurance but any tech I caught him abs couldn’t get by. He also went down twice so that slowed me up.
I smoked the downhill which is probably one of the best and longest I’ve ridden with Lots of big rocks to launch off of.
Once we got to the lower lake section with all the rocks he was gone.
Finished well through the short track section but I need more saddle time to get better.
Had a burger BSed with the guys after, it was a good day.
Wind was not an issue for me except for the occasional 40mph gusts. Rode the Bruce Gordon with the Alex Adventure2 on XTR hubs I recently builtThe wind actually wasn't bad at all today. A couple spots where it was open and you'd get hit with a stiff headwind but they were relatively short. The side wind on Ocean Ave was a little sketchy though because the gusts would push the wheel around if you weren't paying attention. At least with 60mm carbon wheels it was. Not sure what Walter is running.
Me neither but I knew I’d take him after the climb so I just rode his wheel. There’s wasn’t anyone in sight past him either so I didn’t push it.Nice job Matt lining up, did you call out a pass? I don't know race etiquette but sounds like he should have let you pass
I wish, was actually hoping to stop at a brewery or 2 up there but didn’t have the time barely had time to ride, only got 4.5 mi in. Was up there doing yard work for my mom for her bday
Why is it that you know all the good micro breweries? ?
Mathers wasn’t himself today but he looked like he still had fun. One of those photos shows me wearing sneakers instead of my boots. How did that happen? Good race.Didn’t do so great. Kinda got stuck behind someone and didn’t feel too great.

Mom first, beer second...I’m down with that.
It’s called the beer thread! And nice work today! Next stop is Stewart endurance class
It’s all good for Mother’s Day we do a winery, maybe I can get her to let us do a brewery or distillery... but I highly doubt thatMom first, beer second...I’m down with that.

Thanks. I was slower than usual due to the humidity and cold air so I struggled, but the course was fantastic. That must of took Team MTBNJ a long time to clear the trails.Good job today congrats and hope you had fun
Hahaha, 1st Place was 62 seconds ahead of me. One mistake I made was taking a little too easy at the start. I think Jordan (the winner) would have still won, but it would have been more fun if I raced with him as he was gone out of sight from the start.Nice job out there. Too bad you didn't listen to my advice or you would have gotten first.
Very Cool! And to think I was home pigging out on sushi.... beer, wine and sake... shame on me 🙂Thanks. I was slower than usual due to the humidity and cold air so I struggled, but the course was fantastic. That must of took Team MTBNJ a long time to clear the trails.
This is only my second time in a mountain bike race. The first time was Jungle 4 years ago and I started out too quick in that race(ran out of breath in the first mile). I decided this time start out VERY slow then build up speed as I reached the top of the first climb. Then I started moving towards the top and enjoyed a long stretch of rocky twisty downhill. Slowed down again on some climbs towards the end. Glad I got an opportunity to do the race.
