OOS MOGA

I discussed the issue with my wife and she brought up the fact that after my 15 minutes ride around the like my face resembled a red pepper...not that I noticed, but as a matter of fact I haven't been riding neither the stationary bike nor any other bike for more than a month. So I may have to pass this time @Paul H , let's consider it a feeble maybe...

No doubt you can do it. Is that 45 miles via RT. 287 or is that the back hi-ways you'll actually be riding? Instead of gas can I request brownies(gonna be hungry after a day of workin' and ridin')? Homemade? Thanks. You'll have to fight it out for the one seat though.
Will let google maps guide the way.
It actually does a good job of using back roads and those roads with bike lanes.

Cant help on the brownies unless we can make a stop somewhere and I buy you some cuz....me nor my wife are much of a baker.
I don't mind sitting on the floor in the back.

I don't mean to pressure you but if you pedal around 10mph on asphalt... its really not that bad.
If you change your mind between now and then, LMK cuz I would need to set my alarm accordingly to make sure I wake up in time.
If this is going to be a solo ride.... I am just going to let my sleep dictate if this happens or not lol

I'll have room for at least one bike, and a few riders for the trip back. If i use my hanging rack, i could do at least 2 bikes.

But im bringing my hardtail SS and hoping that maybe we can get just a little bit of dirt ridding in while im down that way.

I originally wanted to get a ride in before the work starts but with the rain and all lately... not sure if it will be rideable.

By saturday the conditions should be fine. After bbq ride will be awesome! Thanks Mary Beth!
With more rain coming tonite, I am not optimistic... I mean we are talking about 6MR here
But if the conditions reports are favorable tomorrow, I will prolly ride Sat morning

If you give it all day saturday to dry while we setup the conditions around 2pm could be primo, at best the conditions will be better then earlier in the am imo.

Unfortunate for me.... I gotta leave as soon as we are done with the setup... to pick up my kid.
So.... only time for riding is pre-work.... sucks to be me 🙁

Why not just pop over to HM super early since it's close, then head out from there to the NICA thing? Wouldn't that be more fun than a 45 mile road ride? Cuz...trails.

Road starts sucking when its the same route over and over again.
When riding a new route, its pretty nice.
Just for reference.... its pretty exhilarating when shoot down at 35+mph. Not sure if possible to hit this kind of speed on any trail in NJ.

Not so much knocking road as much as you can bust a quick hour at your local park and drive down rather than riding many hours, worrying about time and having to hitch a ride back. Also...trails.

IMO, if you only have 1hr of riding time, your local trail tends to suck because you only get to goof around the entrance which you have ridden a million times already.
HM specifically.... you get to the good stuff when you are at least 30mins in.... well... that's just my opinion.

maybe you just need to ride faster so you can get to the good stuff in less time . . . .:thumbsup:

I have no doubt you are a heck of lot faster than I can ever ride but realistically.... what does that really mean? If it takes me 30min.... would be fair to say it would take you 20min? So you get to ride the good stuff for 20 mins since its a round trip? Not sure if that's worth it.

I would disagree.... I don't think I would want to ride the chunks too fast.
Imagine riding Jungle at 20mph. You would die lol
I rode bike park black downhills on one, it made HM look like 6 mile you just turn off power assist and hold on for a bad ass upper body workout. Going up with assist it is awesome it guarantees momentum. I have no desire to get one at this time unless I moved to a place that they were worth it and going down is physically demanding but they are really cool if you get a chance ride one

@Paul H All is moot then, cause I'm staying to ride afterwards. By 2pm I should just about be all ready to go!
