OOS MOGA

I don't usually suggest changing an entry level bike much, but you can make small changes to for the following:
1) stem, most important, much too long for you, looks like a 100mm and you could use a 60 or 50mm. Think @jklett and @Tim may have one for you.
2) your bike's not spec'd for more than gravel type rides. 30-32T in the rear is too small and you should consider getting a used 10spd shifters and cassette with more teeth which will help you with the hills (maybe someone here is sell a set fo 10spd shifters with 40-42T rear
3) as @TimBay suggested, better pedals but also get shin guards as they are sharp. May even a pair of Vans or something will a harder sole than running shoes

Ride the bike through the summer and upgrade in the Fall when prices are better and you get the urge for a new bike
If I remember correctly... that is a M frame. Maybe too big?

Hi all, I'm in search of a new hoe. Currently have a small hoe, but could used a much larger one. Can be used but needs to be comfortable for a few hours a day. Post up what you got. Thanks

is there a preferred ratio of height to width?

Great seeing you guys yesterday in Huber. My crew kept moving so couldn't do the stop and chat.
You guys must have been the reason why there were no spots left at 830 in the lot.

Have you considered sex rehab? No shame, it’s a disease.

I had an epiphany regarding my constantly shredding my knees. The main reason that I don't wear my knee pads is because they slide down and don't offer any protection and I don't want to keep stopping to pull them up. When I played lacrosse we used to tape over the pads right under the kneecap and they didn't move all day. I figure why not just do that with these? Then I remembered that I have some elastic Velcro straps so next time I ride I'm going to see if it works. What's the worst that could happen, it doesn't work and I'm back to where I started?

Whats taking so long? Where are the pics of the completed Fug???

Fake news, I actually never bought the bike...I didn't have any time yesterday, so I went in the garage bright and early this morning (so to speak) and once fixed the cranks spacers and ran the new brake hose my back went into spasm...I also just realized that I need to cut the fork steering tube...bummer!

Also, last night I laced a new set of 30mm ID 29" to use with the 29"x2.6" WT Minions. I have to say that straight pull makes the lacing process a lot easier and faster, the squorx nipples and the proper bit for the electric screwdriver helped too.

Yeah when I lived in NYC and spent a good amount of time in Brooklyn, the guys in charge showed me how to find a really good hoe. Hoe hunting takes time and patience. Seems like hoes today now aren't good as before. It also doesn't matter where it's made as I've had some great China made hoes.

I can't use slip on pads for that reason. All mine have Velcro. I'm going to posting some new knee and elbow pads for sale in a few days

Which spacers did you get?
E.g., BB, spindle, chainring,

What do you use for non downhill knee pads? I have a pair of POC dh pads that are murder to try and pedal with. Would be nice to have something light and easy to pedal for some of those less extreme days

Did the Komen 5k this morning at Liberty State Park in the rain with MrsQ and kids (lazy offspring chose to walk...). She just started exercising as her last 5k, late last year, with no training was a disappointing 37mins. This was a tune up for a June 5k and she's looking to get under 26. As expected, terrible conditions with mud everywhere. Also it wasn't clear that it was not mat timed so we lost lots of time the waiting to start and the first half mile dodging people and puddles. But the course was super scenic and fast despite the occasional headwinds . I felt really good but stopped often to keep her on pace and offer words of encouragement. We had a good time.
