"Official" BIYF 2016-2017 thread

1/20 - 1:11:29

I guess there is a story with every ride.. Today's ride story was simple.... Sleepy, tired, MEH... For the first 10 minutes of pedaling, my HR was low AF, like resting HR low and then it eventually rose to a MEH status and no matter how hard I pushed today, it would just stay at MEH, no higher. Additionally, I rode the heavy bike today. It's such a slug. I've ridden the light bike all week and jumping back on the heavy bike was a mind screw. "I'm working like hell and not going anywhere".. LOL... On the flip, going from the heavy bike to the light bike is the shit. I spoiled myself this week with the light bike. Why not, the roads were in decent shape. Looks like some serious shit weather is in the near future. I'm toying with the idea of riding in it because I have a new iPhone7

Was hoping the trail(s) were dry enough to ride this am; took a chance and I was good to go. Dry enough not to leave any ruts, but soft enough to grab the wheels ever so slightly. Felt as if my brake was grabbing a bit or a constant headwind.

There's not much in the form of "Street Art" in my area unless you consider farm equipment, confederate flags, or random lawn gnomes. This was the best I can do for today.....if not acceptable...I completely understand.

A rare day riding, well, actually in the day. Saw the snot on the radar bearing down and rearranged the schedule for a lunch of dirt and a flat. The lower trails were soft, best to stay away for now.

Capt. Obvious spoiler: It's amazing how much more detail there is to see when it's light. Also amazing is how much detail you don't need to see to ride the trails.
