Saw Jeffery Gains open at the stone pony for the smithereens - might have been 1993
he was awesome.

time to go back to school - i'm not sure what he is saying here, as the song is all over the place. I think he wanted the teachers
to call the kids on their shit?

anyway, I applaud our teachers - i feel like i should go apologize to most of mine....have a great, and rewarding year.

Holiday In Cambodia - who covered it better?

The answer is fucking no one covered Holiday in Cambodia better.
The question should be who covered a song and made it better. I'll throw out there Sinead O'Connor covering Prince's Nothing Compares to You, Hendrix doing Dylan s All Along the Watch Tower and Kirt Cobain doing Bowies Man That Saved the World.
What are your picks for this?

New Opeth. Fucking awesome. I've really gotten into this band over years and can't wait for their new album. Also going to see them in NYC in a few weeks.

Didn't know what to make of these guys at first, but holy crap, they are tight. 3 nerdy guys from Philly that play music that's hard to categorize (jazz/punk/emo/math rock, maybe?)

And a love song about a bike:
