Searching this over looks to be unsanctioned which means no license which means I may race which means I'm cheap and there isn't anybody signed up for cat2 SS which would stand for a shot at 1st or DFL whichever way you look at it. Can't miss this for the cave that the plumber still talks about. Who's in...

Rob and I have been talking about this one for a couple of weeks and last time it came up it was still a go.

Lol. Ya Im going and I think we convinced Chris26er to come as well. Ive been waiting for this one since hearing the plumber's stories last fall.

Course is said to change from last year. But can someone give a description of terrain. Like is it all down hill 😀...

its on private property. C.F. may open it for a preride for one day only (like last year).he doesnt advertise the date. word of mouth to the lucky few (i am one).

How about a description of the terrain from one of the chosen? 😉

From what I heard Saturday 19th will be available for preride. From what I remember from last year terrain was not too technical and one major climb toward the end of the loop.

Here is the info from NYSMTB series. I did the Woodstock race last year and loved it. Good group of people up there. They don't have any dropped races so if you're going for the gold, you can't miss any.

I`m out this year going to spend the day with my pops, at 76 I dont know how many more I have left with him so you guys enjoy the place it was great last year mud and all.

Awesome venue wet or dry

Awesome venue, wet or dry Has some climbs, and a bit of everything castskill thrown in for good measeure. Last year they got swamped right before the race, so they made cat 3 1 lap instead of 2. I think they also did the same for sport woman. Anyway, the cave is a must see/do. Highly recommend preride on sat, just becuase you won't be able to ride there agian til next year since it is all private property. The turn out is usually huge, and the fact that this year it isn't the same weekend as Blue should mean even more people. Here is a link:

It also clearly says that there is a new course this year for the event...

I am now considering this for a nostalgic thing as I am pretty sure I was at this place for a race like 15-20 years ago, also cause it's father's day and I got a looser lease for the first half of the day even though it wasn't on the family race schedule.🙂

Christian Favata had told me the course has changed slightly from last year. Course length is about 5 miles. I'm not positive but I think we may be able to ride there this weekend, if so I'll post up. Last years course was pretty technical and flowy. The start had a climb that strung out the fields of riders. Favorite sections: The pile of logs that started at the top of a downhill, it was a bit nervy at first. Carry enough speed and it wasn't that bad. The cave was really fun, I would think about 150+ feet long and dark. Lit up with little green lights laying on the cave floor to show the racers their direction. There also was a tight, twisty, very rocky kinda off camber single track section that opened up to a fire road as you rode passed a few more caves. The cold air coming from the caves made the air foggy as you raced by. I think the NY series needs to include atleast one dropped race. Last year I was forced to DNF the Williams race and therefore blew my chances of winning my class. I may soley race my GF SS 29er in the series.

RC ...
