By now the pending G5 is on the tip of everyone's tounge. With that in mind, G4 and G4 race equipped bikes are bound to show up on sale.

This is the first that has come across my plate.

This bike isn't light weight, but it offers a crazy spec for $4999 down from $6799

This same drive unit is on may bikes we have sold for well over $10K

Heard rumors that Pivot LT will be G5 equipped by October...any truth to this?

I have not seen anything to support this yet, but that seem a pretty good bet.

This whole push to 100nm is pretty comical as so many customers we see with the g4 underutilize the top end torque of the g4. In fact I think the SX is likey going to get a lot more play this year with the low weights that those bikes can achieve.

I personally eat up most of my 750wh battery on almost every ride I go on, but i've come to see that this isn't always commonplace.

Have people been updating their votes here?? Curious to see if anyone has changed their stance in the last few months.

Anyone here get the new gen 4 turbo levo?
As a Kenevo owner I am very disappointed with the new Levo. I love what they did with the motor and the systems interface. The frame is a turd though. The suspension design is crap, low progression and shock yokes kill shocks. It’s my experience that when bike companies add shocks designed just for a frame, the suspension is crap. The old trek slash with the through shaft shock, the epic with the brain shock ….. imo, trail/all mountain/ enduro bikes should have coil shock options. Air shocks suck.

Lots of people get along fine with air shocks.

Not people on Specialized bikes with those long yokes and crazy complicated proprietary shocks mind you, other people.

Air shocks suck, people forget that fox made a name for themselves making air shocks for dirt bikes…. Please point out any dirt bikes with an air shock today….. there are none. Ok, I admit air shocks work for meat powered bikes. Through motors into the equation and coil shocks make so much more sense. As someone that has been on Mtb’s since 1989, I remember the introduction of the Marzocchi z1 and the first fox coil forks….. there is no getting around the Stiction . Hand pump sucks, the motocross industry has shown us coils are the where we are going.

Curious if you have tried a vivid air. I am a coil fan, but this thing is pretty incredible. It's good enough that I switch it between my 2 bikes that run the same size shock.

No, I have not tried the vivid, pretty sure I would have to take a file to my Kenevo frame to fit one …. Have you seen this video?

FTFY.

Also, they do coil versions for each trail platform, Levo will probably be the same spec as either Stumpy Coil.
Have you looked a the shock they are putting on the Levo, it’s super progressive . They are trying to hide poor suspension design with a crazy ramp up shock.

The diameter of the air can is definitely an issue when it comes to fitting air shocks to some bikes. That Vivid Air looks similar to the Cane Creek Kitsuma Air I bought for my Megatower - except that fat air can won't fit through the shock tunnel. I think that is something SC corrected with the V2 version.

Can you imagine the logistical nightmare if every bike you sold had a coil shock? I'm envisioning a giant tool chest full of springs of various lengths, weights and diameters... it'd be nuts. For that reason alone, I can't see coil shocks being factory installed on anything but limited production models - like DH bikes and some enduro models.

I’ve watched about 12 hours of training videos on the suspension design and shock. The Genie can be tuned to feel like any other shock in the market. There’s videos testing it against anything you can think of and they get it to mimic any set up. They use computers and data though so I doubt you’re into that. Seem more like a yells at cloud type 😂

When I vistied Mondraker in spain I rode this bike :

This was the first time riding Ohlins in some time. This thing was a total hoot. The coil was super plush and bottomless. The SX motor tops out at the same top power but the torque is way lower .. as is the weight. If I was riding with mega fast XC types, riding solo or with other light weight ebike riders, an SX is a good option.
