I just used that line on someone I was talking to that is in the city and it worked great. This is how it went:
Me: "DUDE THE HOLLAND AND LINCOLN TUNNEL ARE BOTH UNDER WATER!!!!!"
Him: WHAT!!!????!!!!!
Me: "well they are always under water actually"
Him: You bastard!
