iPhone new patch is out..

I'm not sure if I should download it. I jailbroke my phone a few weeks ago, I think if I do the update it'll wipe the jailbreak.
 
I'll love using your phone as a hotspot for you laptop, that's awesome. Comes out 3/11

It's not a patch, it's 2011 and Apple hasn't figured out how to patch damn thing.
Download the newest itunes, 100meg, download 4.3, 300meg.
All this for about 50kb worth of changes.

When the .pdf iphone virus hole was found apple fixed it with a 300meg OS download, but Cydia fixed it with a 15kb patch.

What's new in 4.3 and what does it break? With every update my phone gets slower and slower. Is this their way of trying to get me to buy a newer phone?

So true Luke. The last update I did may as well have bricked my wife's 3G. it was ok but now the damn thing is terrible.

I haven't done the update on my 3GS yet but I suspect that performance will start to lag when/if I do. What version do you have, Luke?

And yeah, I don't think it's anything new that apple pushes it's old products from its view. That's pretty much the way they have always operated. Upgrade or die.

Yeah but I have a 3GS, they still sell this model and it's awful how slow it has gotten. Takes like 15 seconds to get the camera app open.
I'm on 4.1

Same here. I thought it was just me. Camera takes WAY too long to open. By the time the shutter opens the unicorn has already flown away.

yeah but it doesn't have a shiny apple logo in the back so it's as useless as a 26er 😉

I won't be doing any updates to my VZW i4 untilI absolutely have to... luckily 4.3 isn't out for VZW...
 
I don't upgrade my OS. I jailbroke this and unlocked it. It just dies sometime. Yesterday the battery was 60%. Then bam, gone. The upgrades have little to do with camera issue, as mine lags as well. My guess is that as your disk fills up, performance suffers. This is usually due to superior programming. Or, something.
 
my iphone is basically empty since it's such a pain in the dick to put anything on it that I don't even bother anymore. I have like 5 albums on it and that's it. 20gigs free or something

Jeez Luke, do you hide in your basement and close your eyes just to make a point sometimes? Putting stuff on this is easy enough for a 5 year old.
 
My camera is also stupid slow too. Wasn't like that until after the last big update. It's less than half full. A bunch of apps crash, a lot, which didn't happen before the update. Maybe with this latest update things will get better. 🙄
