iPhone new patch is out..

Jeez Luke, do you hide in your basement and close your eyes just to make a point sometimes? Putting stuff on this is easy enough for a 5 year old.

Take your phone, plug it into your wife's computer, and add a song.

I spend 1/2 my day using my work laptop and half using my home computer.
Steve jobs apparently never owned more than one computer at a time and forbids anyone who owns an iphone to do the same.

yeah but it doesn't have a shiny apple logo in the back so it's as useless as a 26er 😉

I won't be doing any updates to my VZW i4 untilI absolutely have to... luckily 4.3 isn't out for VZW...

All those updates are already on the VZW iPhone.

Another iPhone Update

4.3.2 Why now?

3 Updates in a very short time, thing that make you go hmmmmm.

:hmmm:

There is a really nasty iPhone virus which can physically damage the phone and gets installed by visiting a web page. Not sure if they fixed that yet though.

I mention this only because I have seen some chatter around here about Google Latitude. This is yet another reason why I avoid Apple products... Unlike Google Latitude that you have to turn on yourself, the iphone maintains a location file that you cannot disable and that can be read by anyone with access to your phone.

And now there is news that law enforcement is using phone data collection devices without warrants http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/34/3458.asp

And this is my problem with their closed source iron curtain, we have NO idea what it's doing or sending to them.

honestly, i don't really give a poop. i've got nothing to hide and with three kids my privacy is beyond invaded.

one of the reasons they're doing this (i hypothesize) is for advertising. they are (again, my hypothesis) most certainly developing a hyper-local targeted ad delivery platform that will, based on where you have been, deliver you relevant advertising via iAd. it's genius, really. right now the entry fee just to get into the pearly apple gates for advertisers is $500,000. they nail this one, and can provide measurable patterns to advertisers? they'll have their pick of blue chip clients lining up to fork over their cash. that's the holy grail peeps.

and what do you get out of this, luke? coupons for burritos, diet coke, motor oil, camera cleaning products and winter tires for your fleet of cars.

so stop yer bitchin'. 😀

My iPhone is my work phone
My computer is my work computer
My work takes my phone or computer and sees me at a a competitor's facility during my hours (interview or slacking off)

Hacker gets my file
Hacker sells my file to burglar
Burglar knows my schedule and routine

Police get file
Police charge me with speeding

Wife gets file!

Sounds like a plot for a Bruckheimer blockbuster starring Tom Cruise: "The File: Get it before it gets you."

Lou, that's fake. The iphone can't output video to anything, and that technology isn't possible.

I was trying to mess with the technologically impaired 😀

thanks for ruining it Luke haha... would have made for an interesting read tomorrow...
