Icebox Eleven

Ended up hittin Stokes on bikes yesterday. Was actually pretty good, ya just had to hold on tight when you got deflected by a rock you didn't see. It was two 29s against my last holdout(he thinks hes too short) and i think he now FINALLY sees you can't hunt 29 with 26. Think I'm waxin the waxless skis today to prep for next wknd bein an xc ski event. ...........
 
It's ski shirt time! Wanna do some long range stuff and Stokes and Waway in the next 2 weeks. Anybody wanna experience XC Ski 2.0:getsome:
 
With so much xc ski chatter and recent purchases, I'm hopin to see some new contenders this weekend. It's gonna be Mahlon from the Sparta park n ride at 730am on Sat and........Stokes from the Culvers gap lot at 8am on Sun. If you've skied for decades or are just startin, i guarantee you will have never experienced the ABSOLUTE JOY of a Horde XC ski trip. Best part is when you fail and die you can just turn around and follow the tracks back to the car! Bring a big ol bunch of snacks and water if attending.It's on sonz:getsome:
 
Someday ill break down and get some xc skis, but ill probably be on the road with the mtn bike tomorrow and sunday....skiing DH sunday night at least. Maybe tomorrow night too
 
Mahlon is good for any skis right now, 3 hrs is good for me, although I may die tryin to keep up

We can go short if ya want. The 26r is still recovering from an illness and i'd rather destroy him on Sunday(Shhhhhh...don't tell him) And yes anythings allowed. You are at the top of my list of people to convert to the darkside of xc ski 2.0😀
 
Where is the park n ride lot?
good to see 26r is in the mix, this will be a fun outing. lookin forward to play in the white stuff up north!
 
is it cool if i bring snow shoes and my snow skate? 😀

if not, i'll be creeping around KVSP. tomorrow is "cross training" day! yippie!

Next exit north of the weldon rd exit on 15N. Up the ramp and look leftish.Its in front of a lone corporate bldg. I think there's a big blue parknride sign on 15 to let you know the exit. We gon hav funn!
 
Today went frickin awesome! The Iggster is THE most aggresive in-track classic style skier I've ever skied with. Get him out in the open and his hi rpm kick can really bring the pain. Had a great time just blastin thru the woods today. The 26r basically wore his feet down to bloody stumps but he stayed in it. Also got to watch both of them try to straightline down the wall and eat it(i then walked it). Thanks guys, great day😀 Tommorrow......Stokes 8am:getsome:
 
Sounds like a great ski. Did you guys go down the old wall or the reroute? How was the overall cover?

no point in selling them. the snow shoes are 15 years old. who'd buy 'em?

i had fun today but i really think xc skis are in my future. just don't blame me when the snow goes away.

i was at dover ski & sport and they had one set of back country left and WAY too tall for my 5'8" body.

pixy, cover at KVSP today was really good. there are plenty of laid tracks in the fields and a few of the trails.

I think you buy xc skis to match your weight not height.
 
Good times today. Going down that wall kicked my but, my knee still hurts from a wipe out.
