I ride that bridge pulling a trailer full of tools.

It helps that I built it though.

Consider that the bridge is wider than most of the singletrack that you ride at speed.

I have seen someone fall off that bridge on a 20 degree day. It wasn't pretty.

like these guys said look where you want to go... if you look at the tree, you're going to hit the tree (I'm paraphrasing - he talked about the rock garden), maintain speed (the only time I almost ate it was when I tried to go slow), and the other is what Wobblegong said which is just commit to it and go... I was a wuss the first time I rode it too but now I hit everything I see - each time a little quicker than the last... more often than not it goes without incident... but hell... that's what we're out there for... just do it and if you fall - get up and go again a little harder/faster... just my 2cents...

Just after that bridge did you notice the smaller very not as wide bridge? Thats what used to be there!!! I have fallen off that at least twice from what I can recall!

Keep your eyes on where you want to go not where you dont want to be and youll be fine! You can do it!

Yeah, with a rock pile in the middle of the creek so the bridge didn't flex too much....

Ah yes... that was a classic!!! There was even a point (near the end of its bridge duty) where the entire span was slightly twisted, and you almost weren't sure whether venturing out onto it would bring the whole thing crashing down into the creek... SICK!!!

There HAS to be some element of sickness in these things... otherwise they cease to be fun... right?

... except maybe that really shaky, cable-tethered rickety bridge that spanned the gully on the red trail (over the cement slab)... remember that? We used to refer to it as the "Pulaski Skyway".... THAT was one of the sickest structures I've ever seen (and the penalty for dropping off the side of that one was SEVERE!!!...)

JDog dared me to ride across that thing during a night ride. I had no idea of the penalty for failure simply because I didn't look. I made it across. The next time I was there during daylight, I was shocked at how high it was.

"Holy Crap! I rode across that!!!" 😱 Thankfully, it was removed shortly thereafter.

with that one, i just never stopped to even looked at it, i was just riding across it before I knew it. I actually liked that one, but it would not have lasted through the first heavy rain...

used to ride all the bridges 3 broken ribs later i walk them ...missed alot of riding time because of that..that sucks worse than being a wuss
