I’m going to have to go honor system for the rest of the month.
And no pictures.
Because reasons.

Day 26...

Went out for same loop as yesterday and got distracted by the hot air balloons. Detoured from the route and rode around White Oak Park.

No pics because it was hectic out there. Another casualty of 31/31... after crashing out my BF by crossing his front wheel on a descent he’s left with 1/2 a rear shifter on his cx bike.

Day 27 ride done. I left from home without a real plan. Just to ride up Cherry Ridge rd and see what I wanted to do.
I was taking it easy, just enjoying the 6:30 AM quietness. Then I thought I'd ride Twin Bridges trail for a bit until it got
too tough. I took the little cross over to Red Dot just to check it out. Went back to Twin Bridges to continue on. Now it
starts getting tough, roots, rocks, up hills, but I'm doin' it, and start getting into it, hitting the rock gardens and harder
stuff faster than I should because I'm learning speed is my friend. Sometimes. Then I come to the dreaded impossible
hill. Up and up I go, twisting rocky rooty single track, getting steeper all the time. I shouldn't be doing this I think, but
it's working! Front wheel bouncing up, but landing right where it should and traction is good too. I really should be
walking this section but I can't stop now! I could really eat shit and die here! I'm still getting over my last crash, the ribs
are feeling better and I can now move my arm with almost no pain. Wow! I cleared the climb! Wish I had a video of it.
Now to coast for a while and relax. I rode down to the furnace and up to the boat launch and then back to Laurel trail
and Cherry Ridge road and home. Just over two hours.

Not much going on. Mrs Oleg helped me to do errands on a tandem. We dropped off Netflix Movie at USPS. Stopped by Home Depot for a 50A Breaker. Need new Welding / Pottery Kiln outlet.

Spend afternoon rebuilding the carburetor on the outboard motor. It runs fine in the driveway, I still have to check it under load.

Not sure who got the concussion, but hope you/him are OK!

Day 28. Got up to Nassau this morning. Only my second time there and the first was over a year ago. I don’t think I did to bad for having no clue where I was going. I wish this place wasn’t over an hour away. I should have listened to my wife when she said she wanted to stay in Hunterdon county. ( don’t tell her I said that )

Day 27...

Attempted to avoid chaos out on the road by staying away from balloon people. We had another 31/31 casualty. I lost a water bottle towards the end of the ride. It was absorbed by the brush on the side of the road because I felt it come out and when I went back to look there was no sign of it. I’m bummed I lost it, but at least no humans or bike parts were broken today!
