Day 27 ride done. I left from home without a real plan. Just to ride up Cherry Ridge rd and see what I wanted to do.
I was taking it easy, just enjoying the 6:30 AM quietness. Then I thought I'd ride Twin Bridges trail for a bit until it got
too tough. I took the little cross over to Red Dot just to check it out. Went back to Twin Bridges to continue on. Now it
starts getting tough, roots, rocks, up hills, but I'm doin' it, and start getting into it, hitting the rock gardens and harder
stuff faster than I should because I'm learning speed is my friend. Sometimes. Then I come to the dreaded impossible
hill. Up and up I go, twisting rocky rooty single track, getting steeper all the time. I shouldn't be doing this I think, but
it's working! Front wheel bouncing up, but landing right where it should and traction is good too. I really should be
walking this section but I can't stop now! I could really eat shit and die here! I'm still getting over my last crash, the ribs
are feeling better and I can now move my arm with almost no pain. Wow! I cleared the climb! Wish I had a video of it.
Now to coast for a while and relax. I rode down to the furnace and up to the boat launch and then back to Laurel trail
and Cherry Ridge road and home. Just over two hours.
