Day 19 / 31 - NYC day
Evening plan to hit a Tapas place and then watch the Liverpool preseason game at my sisters. Why not hit the streets of NYC during a heatwave.

catching up here after spending the last three days up in kingdom trails...which, by the way, TOTALLY lived up to the hype...the hype is real...between he incredible trails and the great vermont beers and a town built around MTB, it’s practically heaven for anyone who rides

wednesday day 17...i got out for an early am ride before our drive to KT just in case the forecasted storms for that nite washed out any riding...luckily, the weather held off and we got in a great pre sunset ride along the darling hill ridge

thursday day 18 - one day, two rides, many awesome craft beers...also picked up a stumpjumper from the good peeps at village sport shop trailside, which is now my new favorite spot on earth

friday day 19 - moose haven, climbed the haul road twice, down black bear and then stormin normin...too much fun!

theee day riding summary:
5 rides, 64 miles, ~6500 ft

Took my old (classic) Santa Cruz Bullit to Creek today.

Like always I pull the bike from garage, top of the tires with air (25 PSI) and throw it in the back of the truck.

Something happened today with the tube, tire or both.

When I arrived at Creek the rear tire and tube looked like they exploded while I was driving.

I had a new tube but no tire. No problem I got one at the shop.

I just bought 5 new Downhill Tires, but I never bring a spare. Oh well, now I have 6 new Downhill Tires.

It was Stupid Hot, Dirt was perfect and fun was had by all.

Before I went biking I put a brisket in the smoker, Mrs Oleg was working from home today and did a great job keeping an eye on the brisket.

Even though I am officially out I am still doing this for the fun of it. Yesterday, I got out for an hour at Huber woods.

I work in golf so for me a pre-work ride to beat the heat meant getting up at 2:35 this morning. Got my hour in on the road bike and was still off to work by 4:45.
