rib / Sven..........Sorry to see you out. I loved rib's family ride around Duke Island and was always interested to see Sven's route since our neighborhoods overlap. Was on Rt 22 last night when the monsoon commenced and could hardly see the lanes except when the lightning lit up the road. Was worried, at the time, for the folks with Jobs that had to ride in the evening,

My route is 100% random. Just make it up as I go & stay off busy roads.

Day 17. Blew the dust off the commuter yesterday. I haven’t been riding to work at all this summer due to a schedule change so this bike has been looking lonely in the corner of the garage. I have a feeling those fenders might come in handy this afternoon.

Day 18: another day of swapping wheels, this time repurposing my trainer wheel. Started riding and immediately heard the ominous rattle of a loose cassette. Went to tighten the cassette in a pre ride frenzy, only to realize I must have stolen the cassette spacer off the wheel in another pre ride frenzy. Another after rain, after work ride. We took the Mary’s out to run errands and dodge some puddles. I saw a rainbow on my drive home, but no pot-o-gold!

Day 18. ‘Twas a steamy one. Came home from work to no A/C. After getting some temporary relief set up and letting the thunder storms roll through I jumped on the bike and got it done. Nothing special stayed very local just Incase more storms.

Found a little frog in my driveway when I got home. It appeared to be an "American Toad". Of course I say it like Grand Funk Railroad would.

We scooped it up and took it to the park so he doesn't get flattened in my driveway.
