H2O #3 Darkhorse Dryoff Thread

Dryoff???

Hell, I have to get wet again, and hose down the caked on mud so my rear suspension will work.

Definately a fun time, cannot wait till next year to see how I improve.

Thanks

GREAT JOB DARKHORSE!

You guys did an excellent job on the course (as usual) even with all the forces of nature working against you. The new bridges made MM very rideable and the rest of the course was great. I can't find a mm on my bike that doesn't have mud on it. Nothing that a sandblaster and a chisel can't handle.

Thanks and see you at the 40! 😀

caught a tree with my bars just on top of the first climb, which led to a taco'd front wheel then into a faceplant slide in 6" deep of wet peanut butter for a perfect DNF. fun times lol!

-it was muddy
-i ran 1.5 laps without any form of braking abilities besides putting my foot on my tire
-i need new shoes
-i'm happy that i at least finished

Congratz to all....

congratz to all who were there...🙂

it was wet muddy and WET!!! did I mention WET?
But it was without a doubt the MOST FUN I HAVE HAD RACING!!!

I took another 2nd pl cat 3 50+ that's one 1st and two 2nd place finishes in three races!
NOT TOO bd for an OLD guy thats 51!

And i might as well mention that I had THE SAME NUMBER AGAIN 581...thanks be to god and thanks be to my nephew Michael!....

Dismal conditons today! But the Dark Horse crew puts on such a great event it did not matter what the conditions were! Good job to Mike and the gang for such an excellent day with less than excellent conditions. I wish I could have hung out for beer.🙁

MOST importantly, I need to thank Jdog and the Halters crew for getting my new sexy sweet ride together for today! The thing is sick!!!

Well, you didn't look worse for wear when we passed each other after the taco! I didn't even notice 6" of mud on your face! 😀

Great job Darkhorse!!

Even though it was really muddy the course was still TONS of fun and surprisingly FAST!! I lost my rear brake on lap#2 and my front brake on lap#3!! I had many near-death crashes not being able to slow down and had to resort to sticking my foot in my wheel at one point!!

I had to sprint up the fire road climb at the finish to get 4th, that kinda hurt:drooling:

Can't wait for the DH40!!

-Jim.

Loads-o-fun today.

Lots of hosing when we got home.

3rd place will do, but there are limiters I need to work out to get to #1.

I'll post up some more pics, here are just a few few

Likewise, I lost my front brake, and most of rear. I find that brakes slow you down in any case.

Crazy muddy course. Sorry Jersey guys, the NY rep from the SSaP got me today, I lost our crown.

This race wins for the most amount of mud UNDER my shorts! I think I need another shower.

Glad I'm not the only one with mud in interesting places :hmmm:

Mad dawg and the Darkhorse crew did another great job and put on an awesome race. The shark and alligator on major mike were a nice touch. Thanks again guys and I can't wait for the 40.

Great job to Mike and the crew for putting this together despite everything working against you. Still can't figure out why there seemed to be more water the second lap when it hadn't been raining the whole day:hmmm: At some points there were streams running down the climbs that weren't there in the first lap. Were you guys running hoses just to keep it interesting?
Really hard day but one that will be remembered.

I cramped up on the 2nd lap and it was pretty much game over from there on. Just an awful job of preparation and execution by me.

I sucked.

On an unrelated note, My Hopes worked flawlessly the entire time... 😀

Sorry I missed it

Sound like a great day.😀

Rog Foco txt me and said he got all banged up.

Great Job MTBNJers!
