Guns

I think everyone should be allowed to carry a sword (like Into the Badlands, my new favorite show). All disputes should be solved with honorable combat. A wounded man shall say to his assailant, if I live, I will kill you. If I die, all is forgiven. Such is the rule of honor.

Swords rule.

An elegant weapon... for a more civilized age.

I grew up in Maine where I was surrounded by mostly responsible gun owners. People who filled their freezers with meat and sometimes protected livestock and property.

This to me is where guns belong.

I am not anti gun per say, but I am nearly certain that something is about to change in a big way.

It may be more scrutinized purchasing or ownership only in rural areas.

I don't have a solution, but the state of things right now isn't a good one.

was this one a mass shooting or terrorism? Jihad.

People who say this "incident" was workplace violence are not looking at the total picture. You do not make pipe bombs and throw them at police in workplace violence situation. These people were radicalized and decided to shoot up their workplace.

I doubt anyone except the most delusional lefties are clinging to hopes that this was workplace violence. Pretty clear it was a terrorist attack, and even stronger gun laws (California has very tough ones) aren't going to stop something like this.

Serious question, if this was a terrorist attack (and I'm not saying it's not), how come nobody has "claimed" it yet. If ISIS or somebody else trained these guys to do this, why haven't they said "Yeah that was us, we're awesome, death to America" yet? Don't they usually do that right away?

I'm thinking that if they were radicalized and trained by terrorists, then they probably had a different attack planned. Maybe something happened at this party and the dude was like, screw this let's kill these guys instead.

You could make all guns illegal tomorrow and it won't change shit. The bad people will still be able to get them, but law abiding citizens will not. And this argument about crazy people or this shit doesn't happen in other countries doesn't hold any water (France last month, where I'm pretty sure no one can get a fully automatic AK). In other countries, they just give crazy people commercial pilot licenses so that they can fly 400 people at a time into oceans or mountain sides.

Well if they consider the Fort Hood shooting to have been work place violence and not terrorism, then this must have been an employee dispute with HR over vacation days of some other bullshit.

the CA terrorists shot up that location probably because it was such a soft target, and not just because they has a dispute with a co-worker.

Totally agree.

We are at a spot where we have a serious problem and no way out.

Soon enough we will be warned from going to any place that has a lot of people in a small space.

No more movie theaters, shopping malls or concerts.

ISIS pledge by the wifey.

The days after the Paris attacks ISIS said they had 71 soldiers spread across the US ready to go to work at their command. Looks like we only have 69 more to worry about. AP just posted confirmation the dead wife had ties.

but if you had a shop party, id show up😉

some how missed this while I was away, gun control falls somewhere behind, religion, politics and right to life
My wife is completely pro gun control, which is ironic because she does appreciate knowing I have the ability to protect the family should that unfortunate day ever come. Before kids, I did a lot sport shooting and even used to reload, after kids, they've been locked up. If someone were to break-in, I'd only have my old aluminum bats and ninja stars for defense....

I taught my wife to shoot after we got married, when my kids come of age, I'll do the same with them. God bless America

I just find George's expression in this meme funny.
