Going Long and Hard.

It's 120 points to finish, even if you finish DFL. If I show up, I'm doing 3 laps, even if I have to walk😀

Hey they let that cat 3 husband and wife use a tandem bike.....You sit in the back and pedal, ill drive 😀

That's a god damn great idea. You'd get bumped into grandpa Utah class though. They cound the older guy 😀

Update...

Still trying to stay somewhat active and/or busy...Yesterday we hit the mall again, I did 2 laps of each floor while my wife tried on bathing suits. The married guys will understand how LONG that takes😉

Finished my big puzzle...

And successfully solved my Rubik's Cube, it took a few days and I'm not sure how many hours!!

One step closer!!

Today I managed to get my trainer and bike setup!! I tested it out for about 10 minutes and no issues getting on/off or leaning on the bars with my good side. I even figured out how to shift the RD with my left hand...I may have to put some shorts on and give it a better run😉

Normally I'd rag on anyone who sets upa trainer in mid-August. But in this case, this is cool to see.

Rip it up man, that Bass guy is pretty darn fast.

Actually went out, out, today...

Today was my first real journey outside of town to see how I'd hold up during a day trip. Went into Jersey City to visit my homies new shop and chilled there for a bit. Then we skipped over to NYC and hit up my favorite veggie spot, VP2 in the village, then we walked around to the other side and hit up sundae and scoop😀

I need to start watching my intake so I only had one scoop. I was out for about 5 hours and held up pretty well:popcorn:

Thursday, follow-up #2...

Well my day started out pretty good. Had lunch @ Taco Bell and then hiked around Chimney Rock with Freddy. Niiiiice!! Then I popped over to the Dr. for follow-up #2 where my day turned a little south. Good news is my arm is actually healing and the head of my humerous is repairing itself. I still need another 2 weeks to make sure it stays together. Then I need to go in for surgery #2 to have 2 of the longer screws removed as they are sticking through the bone and scraping the inside of the joint. After that it will be some down-time to recover from the surgery before starting PT. Conservatively we're looking at another 2 months before I can get outside on the bike again. At least this way it will all be over with and I won't need some surprise work later on down the road...I hope...🙂

Jim

At least you are moving in a forward motion, not has fast has you would like, but you are moving in the right direction. Keep a positive attitude about it, and the time will fly by.

I can understand what you going threw. Been busted up, not as bad, but my weight and health was far worse then yours. And I got up and going. You will do it a lot faster then most. 😀

Hang in there man. Have to say not sure what I was more surprised by, you eating taco bell or that the doc used too long of a screw. It says right on the front of the drywall box: 1", 1 1/4" etc
