Going Long and Hard.

Thanks everyone!! I just got my laptop in my room so I can communicate with the world again!!

The brief skinny. I was crossing through an intersection on Hoes Lane, turned around for a second to make sure no one was turning my way and I lost my front wheel into a hole/trench thing and went sailing.

I layed the street for bit, then layed in the grass for a bit. Luckily I crashed in front of a cop and he called the ambulance.

In addition to a good amount of road rash, I broke my Scapula, Clavicle, and my Humerous in 3 places. I managed to also break 5 ribs and bruise my lung. They need to cut me open and put my shoulder back together, which will be later this afternoon. I've been up and around a bit. I think I'll be here for a few more days. Time to catch up on the tour!!

Thanks for everyone's concern and thanks for stopping by!!

-Jim.

I was crossing through an intersection on Hoes Lane,

That's what you get for crossin the Hoes. :getsome:

Jeebus man. I don't even know where some of those body parts are. I'm gonna have to use WebMD to figure out what you did to yourself 😱

I do know what those body parts are ( said the bio teacher) and all I have to say is OUCH!!!!!!!

Yikes Jim.....

I know I do not know you very well, but I am sending e-hugs anyway....

f'ing Hoes will get you every time....

feel better, glad to hear you are alive!

:hysterica
Hi Jim V, I'm so sorry to hear of your injuries. Back in 2002 when I decided to return to Motocross competition after 1 year away. My first race was at a night Supercross in Atco, NJ. They put me in with the 30+ Experts. I got the holeshot and did the double out of the first turn only to see some guy cross my line in the air and take me out. I hit the ground fracturing my right shoulder in 12 places. After two surgeries I was back to work in 2 and a half months. I needed to go to rehab 3 days per week for 4 months. Since I was not able to move my right arm much following my first surgery I had developed what's called a "frozen shoulder" This needs to be avoided at all costs. I needed a second surgery to relieve the scar tissue that caused the shoulder to freeze up in the first place. I also went to accupuncture therapy twice per week to help the healing process. Keep us posted
RC ... 😱

holy crap jim. get well buddy.

and look at it this way: you get to do something now only norm can dream of: eat as much friggin' ice cream as you want. 🙂

speedy recovery.

We'll be keeping you in mind, brotha. Hope all goes well.

Dang. My wife always says she rather me ride in the woods, now I know why.

I guess the good news is you can watch the TT on Tuesday straight thru.

Hope everything gets back in the right places. Best wishes dude.

Surgery is done. They think it went well. At this point I'm just in tons
of pain, they don't make anything strong enough, but I'm trying to cope. They nut and plated my shoulder back together.

I'm in Robert's Wood😀

-Jim.

PS-I just paid for the live Tour thing on Versus, it's pretty cool, you can go back and watch each stage and there's cool interviews and whatnot.

You can go to steephill.tv and get all for free..I see it on ITV4 from England...live...free!

Jim. I cant believe it!
You most of of hit awlful hard to do that kind of damage, thats terrible.
