Going Long and Hard.

I'm a few days behind you in WUKAR. It's pretty solid. Different than what I would've done solo but I can absolutely see these movements benefiting me on the bike.

I think 2 days is a little light for offseason lifting IMO. Wish it had 3-4 days of lifting.

If you got the Cyclist Program it's 2 weight days with the assumption you'll be on the bike the other days? I'm not doing the pre-written Program so I'm not sure what that one's like. My schedule is M-weights, T-off, W-bike, Th-Weighs, Fr/Sa-Long Bike, Su-Off or Recovery ride.

Yeah, that's the same as the general program. Pretty much every one of your posts lines up with what I've done...curious how much different it is.

It's probably the same but with exercises swapped out to compensate for my shoulder?

That would make sense. Decent amount of overhead KB presses mixed in. Super annoying to do but I guess it helps with stability.

Pretty good program, #noragrets in buying it. Got me back in the gym more than I ever have since I've started riding.

Tsatsouline is the Russian who's often cited as being very influential in bringing kettlebell training to the West. His core strength is off the charts...

He would tell you no good Russian calls it core... its midsection comrade😂😂. The over arching with him if you look at his work developing Nuero muscular firing vs adding needless muscle. Or dont put a v8 in a honda accord. Instead optimize you natural engine.

I have some of his old vhs tapes from back when and all his books.

Starting to show some mass through my shoulders. I'm supposed to be at 2x body weight by the end of 12 weeks, I currently don't own enough plates to make that happen so I'll need to pick up another set of 45s...

Been quietly prepping for Polar Roll. With a somewhat final weather forecast I stripped the bike down a bit...Took off the fork bags and swapped to the time tested full sleep system on the rack setup. Going to bring the Helium Bivy because I won't actually need it with the required -20 bag. Also won't need pogies because I can run under 0 degrees with Lobster Gloves, and I'm required to have insulated mittens so if it gets too cold, I have those. Frame bag is still empty for layers and such. Pretty much as light as I can go and still have a couple just in case options. Matt and Jorden's bikes look like they ain't planning to have anything go wrong, but they're both also from the area and will do the ride in like 15 hours 🤣
