Going Long and Hard.

This thing is very high on my dream bike list. The Cipollini Allez would be an ideal addition to my collection. These are extremely rare, it took forever to find my S-Works Langster from this era, they almost never come up for sale. Even harder to source a 52cm...I had a base model Allez with Veloce on it as my first road bike in maybe '00, '01?

Probably easier to buy one of the Cipollini branded bikes that Super Mario is ‘manufacturing’ now…when he’s not posting raunchy comments on FB!

stumbled across this today ..

Is it forward of the bar a few inches? Just in case you're running a handlebar bag it's nice to have some room.

Do you run a handle bar bag? I was thinking of ditching mine and just running a frame bag and the torpedo off the saddle. I can switch this to the top two bolts if I run the handlebar bag.

I run a little bag on the bars. I don't have a frame bag for my road bike, but maybe I'll get one made.

I think for road use I'd want a Dyneema bag so it's stupid light. I like all of my Nittany bags but for something higher end I like Rockgeist. The bag they made for my Blackborrow was spectacular.

Nice!!! Thats rebranded material. Hikers have been on using it for quite sometime. I was surprised to see it being used on bikes as i thought it would be prone to puncture but now imma look into for sure.

Newbie question alert...

Where would water go Jim if i decided to do a whole frame bag?

I think the only point of running a full bag would be to use a hydration pack instead of bottles. Which I would only do if you were planning to ride straight through with minimal stops.

Speaking of Dyneema, set Elsa up for the Polar Roll. Have all the required gear packed in here with both panniers empty, empty frame bag, and 1/2 empty fork bag. My Big Agnes poofy will take up one pannier but otherwise, I'll have some options for food and layers along the way. Will probably run feed bags just to have snacks accessible buy they don't weigh anything...

Phase 2 is starting off well enough. Deadlift warm-ups, followed by 5 rep sets adding 10lbs each set. Started at an easy 135 and made it up to 245 before I couldn't do anymore. It does feel somewhat awkward training for an Ultra without riding my bike, but I'm pretty confident in Coach Art's Program.

The way you are built and the fact that you have a ginormous endurance base, your speed is going up for sure. Strength is the father of speed and endurance.

The trap bar for deadlifts is perfect.
