Going Long and Hard.

My reality is I need to further scale back the lifting I already lift way less frequently than before but its still a bit much and going to need to cut it back a bit more when race season is approaching.

With Art’s Program it switches to lighter, higher rep, and body weight sessions in season. Volume is the same. I’m not sure what you do is actually important, just that you’re always doing something.

Fun Commute.

Woke up expecting snow and 50mph winds, which we didn’t have…lame.

Ran over a screw heading up into the Watchung Circle.

Right as soon as I turned onto Valley I got hit with the promised squall. Yay!! Pulled next to the lake to take an opportunity to change a flat in a direct headwind with snow and no cover. Yay!!

Snowed all the way up to Glenside and then it was sunny again. Lame.

It was destiny.

Although as a funny aside. Jens literally just picked the band name out of an English Slang dictionary because he thought it sounded cool. It took a Demo and 2 studio Albums before Frederick decided to restring his 7-string Ibanez Universe with Bass strings, tune to F, and record Nothing. Less than a year later I saw them on Tour with the first prototype 8-String guitars and then boom, they invented the modern metal we listen to today. Or, some of us listen to today.

Everyone go listen to the opening track on Nothing today. Although the album on streaming platforms was at one point called Re-Nothing because they re-recorded it with 8-Strings a few years later. The original may be on YouTube or something.

Deadlift day because I have to run errands for GFBD and don’t have time to ride. Hopefully I can pedal my bike tomorrow 😂

A full week on Creatine and I’m up to 180lbs this morning. Feel pretty good, my workouts have been easier to get through and I’m waking up less sore. Not sure if they’re related or after the last 4 months my body has finally settled in to the routine? IDK.

A full week on Creatine and I’m up to 180lbs this morning. Feel pretty good, my workouts have been easier to get through and I’m waking up less sore. Not sure if they’re related or after the last 4 months my body has finally settled in to the routine? IDK.

There's something to it. I'm curious when I get my bloodwork done again, I was on the very low end of healthy for creatinine (expected when trying to lose weight). I'm hitting PR's in the gym I haven't seen since I was lifting 5 days a week back in college.

I’m more interested in the Recovery side to be honest. I do need to get an actual physical done though.
 
Deadlift Day followed by GFBD = Recovery Day today.

We kept a nice easy pace but afterwards I could tell I was pushing a Single-Speed in soft sand and wind for a lot of the day.

Thanks everyone that came out!! Although I still have a box of Baklava leftover, you people were supposed to eat more.

It’s raining so I’m gonna do all my gym work early this week. Doubled up this morning and did tomorrow’s work as well. Then I’ll do Wednesday’s Deadlift workout tomorrow and I’m Volunteering Wednesday so…Busy.

They had this stuff at Shop Rite on sale so I bought it. It will do the job I think. Have to mix it in Almond Milk so it tastes better though.

And had another Trash Panda episode driving home. He was in the middle of the road and cars were driving around him but I figured it would take one impatient assclown to take him out. Parked the car and blocked traffic to get him to the side of the road. Then I let him try to eat my shoe and pants until we were in a spot that I could get him off the road and somewhere safe.

He was not afraid of me in any way because he lives in Plainfield 😂

Anyway. He wasn’t dead when I left him which is 100% better than last week.

With the last few tweaks to my diet I’m Vegan again, although I’ll still have to improvise during events so I won’t be Vegan enough to say I’m Vegan around other Vegans. Carry on.
How close is the almond milk nog to the real?
