Oh man, sounds horrible! My knee hurt just SSpinning a mile out of Port Jervis to get to the trailhead yesterday.

The Kill me's were the climbs. They were really long. I basically stood up at 50rpm for 4 hours yesterday.

Basically. There's a few spots it hits MTB trails, but a Gravel or CX bike will be faster overall. There was a lot more road than I expected.

What separates it is that it has less gravel than other gravel events.🙂 I think it has too many paved highway climbs to the sky, but without those, they wouldn't get the elevation. If it was anything like last year, the finish sucks because it just ends at the top of a mountain like 8 miles from the start. At least it's a 50mph downhill back to town if you survive the wind chill. This event needs more gravel, and more stations with cheez whiz pork loin and Jameson shots. Would do again if I was able to keep up with friends instead of riding by myself for 4hrs.
