I wonder if the seller is a dealer tech who saved all of the spark plugs he replaced as part of maintenance schedule, but less related to mileage. So it's possible the plugs still have a lot of useful life left.

Oh yeah... I'm not saying I would buy them... with many modern cars, replacing the plugs is such a PITA the risk/savings calc doesn't work for me vs. buying new plugs. But others have different levels of risk tolerance. Mainly I was grasping at "why" he would have a bucket of old plugs... also possible he regularly goes to pick-n-pulls and pockets plugs he comes across.
Reminds me I still need to replace the plugs in my minivan... still original at ~152K... They've only been sitting on my parts shelf for like 4 years... literally looking at them right now as I type this... Oops.
