God I love Craigslist.......

I guess he blew it...

So a while back I was selling an inflatable jump house. I try to meet people not at the house and was planning to meet the buyer at a local parking lot he asks me like how are we going to blow it up to test out. We’ll do it with a leaf blower. He ends with “can I tell you something”. Ok…. “I have a thing for inflatables”. Immediately blocked.
Very closed minded of you to not accept this person.

He probably just wanted to masturbate in it or something totally normal like that 🤣

Friend of mine sent me a listing for one of these on Marketplace. Thought it was some weird DIY but apparently it's a thing. Pretty interesting design. Dunno if it's worth $900.00 but at least it's odd. FB link also if you have that.

It was cause you couldn't trust a man and a woman to not get into trouble if one sat in front of the other 😂

Figured I'd ask this here. Is Venmo safe as a seller? I had a buyer for something on FB and he insisted on Venmo so his sister could pick it up for him. We went back and forth a bit, but I told him I was in no rush so he could Venmo his sister and she could pay me in cash. That reply seemed to shut him up.

No.

And that’s a typical scam if a buyer is demanding a certain form of payment.

PayPal Goods and Services seems to be the safest and I’ve only had to file a claim once and I got my money back nearly immediately but that was more about the item showing up in bad condition than advertised.

Scam. Probably like the fake ckeck scam. he'll acendently venmo yoy too much money and ask you give to his "sister". The venmo $ was fraudulent and you'll be out the item and $ given to his sister.

Why wouldn't you check if the money is in the bank before giving away the item though?

I mean if he’s going to Venmo you the money then why not. These new generation folk have so idea how to use cash. Or write in script. Or write at all.

But it’s probably a scam either way.

I would not accept Venmo from some random person for a marketplace transaction, especially when coupled with a sob story. If someone is picking up my item face to face I want cash in hand.

However, My wife has accepted Venmo for FB transactions without issue, but these are mostly from the local mom to mom group which seems to be pretty tightly administered. And we’re talking $10-20 transactions so not exactly high risk.
