Eagle Nest Cam

This is neat. I had the feed going on my second monitor while i was doing some work today. Interesting to see the interaction.

So a few weeks ago I discovered a Bald Eagle's nest literally right out of my bedroom window perched up in a electrical transmission tower. I have a perfect line of sight and watch them come and go from my bedroom and home office window. Once the leaves on the trees start growing, my line of sight will close up unfortunately.
The best place to see the nest is from the spillway on the canal at the edge of the property.

I was talking to the neighbors and apparently the Eagle's moved here in December. Not sure how I didn't notice them till now.

According to Garmin, the nest is 369 feet from the edge of my yard.

shitty iphone pic of nest

That's just like the Osprey nest that used to be out in Reigelsville years ago when my step-father used to work at the old paper mill. One of the storms over the years blew it away and they never rebuilt, at least not there.

Cool. They must fish in the river around there. Will have to check it out this spring

I'm obsessed with the eagle cam - we check it all the time at school. If you are able to get on at this very moment, you can see the chicks - both parents were just at the nest

trending in the opposite direction tho.

After looking at mom eagles back for 5 mins, I was ready to walk away when suddenly she got up, revealing the 3 chicks. Then we saw that there were 2 adults there. So exciting!!! Dad had come back with some kibbles...So very cool.
