Soo.. to remove the rear wheel on the Orbea Rise, do I just loosen the axle bolt from the drive side? If so, it seems like it is on there rather tight. More than the 10nm spec. Or am I doing something wrong? Lefty-loose'y, correct? I have a habit of breaking things and don't want to break something new and expensive.

Possibly. Manufacturers have been known to not follow their own assembly instructions and not grease threads or use torque wrenches.

Thru axle is removed from brake caliper side

It is removed from the drive side. Lefty loosey per normal.

Ah then different then the hydro, go figure.
You sure about that? The whole reason it comes off from the drive side is so the derailleur can be removed easily without tools? I've never seen the Orbea bolt loosen from the non-drive side on any model. 🤔
