Love it!I’ll also offer that additional stabilization muscles are activated when throwing around a bike at 2x the static weight. Nothing like on my ktm woods bike at nearly 250 lbs, but it is a noted charge in handling From a muscle bike. That’s what the Germans call them I hear.
You ask this on a MTB forum? Why pay 8k when he has what he needs?
That is definitely something my friend has mentioned about riding her Heckler. But in a past life (the 80's) she was East Coast body building champion, so upper body strength isn't something she has to worry about. Still... she says doing big moves on techy climbs is a fair bit more challenging than on her lighter non-assisted bikes.I’ll also offer that additional stabilization muscles are activated when throwing around a bike at 2x the static weight. So ebike is faster?
This^^^^^^ It's all what you put into it. Just like anything else.I think it is this: you can have the same fitness benefit, if you want to. Not sure the average person will be doing the same work if the motor was there to help.
Fair enoughYou ask this on a MTB forum?
was surprised to see the runner destroy the guy on the analog bike in just a climb with minimal tech.
why ? the analog bike guy has an extra 25lbs and all the drag of a drivetrain to suck the power.
bike does better on the downhill
There is no reasonable and consistent way measure this.I'd guess it would be more stress on the neuromuscular system from going faster with the same cardio effort.
Need to absorb bigger hits, work on staying upright while being kicked off line, etc.
Everything is suddenly happening faster - at least on the uphill or flat.

So you're saying a runner beats a cyclist on uphills and flats? 🤣
Usain Bolt vs sprint cyclist in 100 m. Who wins? There is no reasonable and consistent way measure this.

Look at VT 50 results. So you're saying a runner beats a cyclist on uphills and flats? 🤣
I'm too busy competing with my #1 brand to worry about motorcycle shops. Maybe I'll stop by later and check them out.@jdog @Bike N Gear are you seeing any legit sales competition from the motorcycle shops? I was at cross country in metuchen last week to watch the Wyoming BDR movie premiere and they had this display right up front (Intense and Giant):

Ebikes: you can’t burn out
Also ebikes
MTB would win on the flats and downs, but a fit runner wins on the more moderate to steeper climbs. To put it into perspective, course record up Mt. Washington for a runner is 56:41, on a road bike its 49:24 for the men, 58:14 ladies. I'd be willing to empirically test this using my son who rides and runs, do it on one of his hill training days.So you're saying a runner beats a cyclist on uphills and flats? 🤣
