I just watched the Z-triton commercial again. I just can't believe this is real. I mean the favorite plant thing is just over the top's top.

I can't wait to buy one and drop the kids off at school in this thing.
I want to permanently move into one...if it only had storage for my collection of el mariachis...

So ebike is faster?
That's not the science, science is they were all in the same zone, well except for gravel guy lol.
I could post half a dozen mtb vs emtb vids. Everyone comes incredibly close to heart rate zones. Only difference is calories burned. There are pros who swear that training on an ebike is more efficient to their training.

I'm not here to preach, only share the deep dive I'm in right now. I'm also not giving up my hardtail but possibly replacing my ripmo. I am guinea pigging this as a life long laborour my body is breaking down. I want to still get up daily to ride and still go to work. Again most people that have a negative attitude have no idea and for the that fact neither do I yet.

I can see ebike being more effective to training on a mtb because it could smooth out the effort, which is why most of them train on the road anyways.

I think it is this: you can have the same fitness benefit, if you want to. Not sure the average person will be doing the same work if the motor was there to help.

The cardiovascular systems working at the same pace but prolly not the nuero muscular system. And could be the reason the calories burned are different? Or not?

The cardiovascular systems working at the same pace but prolly not the nuero muscular system. 🥬 discuss.

I'd guess it would be more stress on the neuromuscular system from going faster with the same cardio effort.
Need to absorb bigger hits, work on staying upright while being kicked off line, etc.
Everything is suddenly happening faster - at least on the uphill or flat.

I will still get my calorie burn on because now I will be able to go longer and further. If you recall I used to throw down triple parkers on a SS on the regular, that hasn't happened in a few years. Now it will and your invited to come and chase me 😁

I’ll also offer that additional stabilization muscles are activated when throwing around a bike at 2x the static weight. Nothing like on my ktm woods bike at nearly 250 lbs, but it is a noted charge in handling From a muscle bike. That’s what the Germans call them I hear.

Same. When I got my Rise last year I thinned out my fleet a bit and sold my Bucksaw and my Nukeproof Mega but kept my hard tail. No science behind the decisions, just my gut instinct.

Then logic tells me Matty should stick with a pedal bike since his body is playing nice. Why pay 8k when he has what he needs?

But im surprised you posted something like this!! 😳

blueskying.

and if going more places in the same amount of time is good for the soul, then it should balance out!

Wait - one more thing. In Matty's case, he is already strong and coordinated. It is the cardio he is lacking.
So riding an analog bike is detrimental to keeping his neuromuscular "memory" sharp.

I'm going with that. 😉
