So who are the perceived experts vs the real ones? FBI = Perceived experts? Random guy in Kansas who owns a drone company and knows about stolen nukes = real expert?

How about the FAA and Air traffic controllers....1 person has died in an airliner accident in the past 24 years.....the odds of dying on a US jetliner is now 1 in 816MILLION! Are they experts? Over 3000 flights per day of just airliners in and out of EWR, JFK, LGA and not one mid air collision in 64 years. Do they know anything about controlling the skies?

Early on during Covid, myself and many like me (RNs and MDs alike) were the random guy; lots of egg on the faces of the experts nowadays. And I'm a nobody.

Again, ostracizing those outside of the 'consensus' of expert opinion reveals a bias, or is hubris, your call. It's akin to making decisions in a vacuum (smartest guy in the room theory). Should we listen to every person with an opinion? Of course not; that's where those critical thinking skills are supposed to kick in, which was another thing lacking during Covid. I'll never forget my first week back at work after Alpha, hearing higher credentialed 'experts' tell me I could get it again. Fascinatingly scary to hear that come from a 'trusted source of scientific information.'
 
Confidence in institutions is circling the drain, confidence in individuals is way up. It's an interesting time.

During the whole Covid period I learned two big things:

-There's tons of experts and their opinions don't always agree and what's an acceptable truth one day is wrong the next.
-The news lies, or at the very least misleads. So I'll never hear something and just assume I know the whole story. Although this is something I probably learned earlier with getting into the Iraq war, but a few big things during the Covid era really nailed this down.

I mean I dont want to get into a covid discussion....especially since I am married to an ER nurse who watched MANY MANY people die.....but covid is invisible and does not make noise.....It affected different people in different ways....I as a healthy person could exist in my bubble and believe I was safe from it......Others were not so lucky.

Drones/planes/helicopters, etc are physical objects in the sky that you can see and hear.....even track on radar.

I too am an ER RN, and I witnessed the same people die, sometimes when they didn't have to, which is kind of my point. I purposely avoided Covid discussions like the proverbial plague due to the lack of critical thinking applied to them. Again, to my point on this subject.

Covid isn't invisible, and it is trackable. Problem was the epidemiologists doing so were agenda driven (or their degrees weren't worth the paper they're printed on). Same goes for those dictating treatment policies.

Again, blowing off plausibly presented theories is dangerous. My analogous arguments regarding Covid should at least give people pause in doing so.

I think I took the first (and only) vaccine back in 2021 and got covid 4x since. First two felt like a bad cold. The others barely kept me off my feet. I know a few people who got multiple shots and had worse symptoms than me.

Back to drones and the news. I've been news free since election day. I literally have no idea what's happening in the world. Have not read or watch a single news feed in 6 weeks. I am way more relaxed and stress free. But I was curious about this drone thread- purely for entertainment purposes.

Y'all have not disappointed.

If you read back thru all of my posts in this thread, I have brought up the original story on nov. 18th several times.....I would love to know more about that incident...pilot interview, something......Something tangible...other than....I saw this thing flying and it 10000% could not have been a plane

plausibly presented theories need to have some kind of evidence.....not: "I make drones so let me tell you my theory on a stolen nuke" Im still waiting for a video of an suv sized object in the sky....a report from the FAA that they diverted air traffic around an unknown object in the sky....a pilot reporting seeing something (other than lasers which is now a thing)....radar data....so far what we have is hundreds of airplane videos and thousands of comments showing that people in fact do not know what airplanes look like in the dark.

I appreciate what you are saying here, and I can't say I disagree with the sentiment/rationale. However, those systems we are hoping to provide salient, trustworthy information have revealed themselves to be flawed, for whatever the reason. My mind is open, but not to the point of having my brain fall out of it. But it certainly isn't going to go along lockstep with Agency X because they're the perceived experts, either.

It is my understanding a video will be in the media today showing one of the drones taking off as well as the group servicing the equipment. The operators do not have any government markings, the location seems to be rural but I was not granted access to info on the location or operators.

I have seen the video - and it is pretty wild. Definitely not a commercial airplane or private airplane for that matter.

Seems like after five it is going live - I will see if I can post it here.

All seriousness - something is there and they aren’t planes. While I am sure 99.9% of the sightings and people calling the signings in have zero idea what they are talking about there are credible people I know who do have to spot things like planes that have said these are sizable drones there - someone knows they are there and I am sure they are ours otherwise they would be brought down (in a safe manor. I have yet to see any over Bass River, but I do get to see military planes nightly!
