Do we have any more independent record stores?

I follow this guy, I gather he was somehow associated with City Gardens?
Yes. Good read.

Came here to add Factory records in Dover.

My 17 year old son and his friends are into classic vinyl and they go there all the time.

There is this place, which I noticed the other day. Looks tiny and can't vouch for it but it does exist.

How did I miss this thread?!?

Can vouch for Penny Lane-
Small shop, but my guy Gino has it well organized and you can trust his grading on used vinyl, I don’t even check before purchase anymore.
Also has a pretty good stock of CDs.

Merry Christmas!
I upgraded my turntable from Crosley lol to AT

Now on to the speakers. I have something that works now from PC days with sub and all. But I got a sweet set of infinity speakers and pioneer receiver for not much. Now im hunting for a sub but im not really sure if I can hook a sub up to this old amp or how. Ideally looking at eBay for a “matching” infinity sub. The speaker and amp just has speaker wire points. Photos of amp below. Will the amp work with a sub like this eBay link?

How large are the new speakers? I've had audiophile level equipment for close to 50 years and never felt the need for a Sub.

View attachment 252968yes, that sub has high level inputs which Rob mentioned. And I would use a sub with those smaller books shelf speakers unless you're mostly listening to vocals or low bass instrumentals

HA no. The looks I would get for those is not worth it.

@qclabrat music will be played open kitch/family room
A SW would help, I think your tweeters are plastic so may sound muddy with the bass turned up. Keep the bass levels turned down, add a sub and it should sound a lot better. Good luck

I got something called HSU research brand.
My amp/receiver does not have a sub out. I’ve read two ways to connect
(1) only use the amp to connect two speakers and double the wires from one set of speaker connections from the amp to sub
(2) make one connection from the amp to the sub’s high input and then use the speaker out connections on the sub

Is there a right/preferred way?

I would go option 2-
Assuming you don’t have other plans for the B-speaker outs, this is going to be best.
Doubling up on speaker wires can’t ever be a good idea -
