Chimney Rock Conditions

Chimney Rock is rideable, though physically demanding. I’d estimate the snow to be between 4“ and 7” deep and on the wet side (dense, not fluffy). The going was fairly tough in areas where the snow was unbroken (by a bike). I spoke with @Clapper who was doing his part to break new trail. There was also a third “fatty” that I saw during the ride. It should be better with each passing day as more riders create tracks in the snow.

Studded tires for Sunday?

I rode the entire park yesterday. It was all easily rideable outside of the climbs. It should be pretty good to go today. Saturday I don't think you'll need a Fat Bike.

Any chance the trails will be rideable this weekend 12/26-12/27? Would like to try the OOS short track loop. Thanks

Nah, I am sure it will be a cesspool tomorrow. While it may freeze Saturday I think it's going to need 2-3 days of freeze to firm this up.
